Panic Room Reviews

Mar 16, 2025

Jodie Foster is a very talented actor and her movies deliver the same kind of suspense as Denzel Washington's movies. This film was directed by David Fincher, who directed the popular Fight Club (1999). This movie focuses on the main character trying to protect her diabetic daughter from burglars by hiding inside a fortified panic room in their newly purchased mansion. The movie really can show you the importance of the use of video surveillance, and it shows you what it's like to be a diabetic. It also touches on elements of feminism and mortality. This is one of Jodie's best movies so you should definitely watch it. These are the kind of movies that make you appreciate life.

Brilliantly shot thriller

Filled with A-list stars acting out an improbable to downright stupid plot. It would be a okay made-for-온라인카지노추천 movie. As a major box office release with stars, it is almost laughably awful. Boring too.

"Panic Room" exhibits a suspenseful and claustropyobic-esque experience with innovative cinematography, fleshed out characters and a focused concept. The biggest draw is Fincher's one of a kind directing style. It's definitely worth a watch for any interested viewer!

A very entertaining thriller by David Fincher that deals with a home invasion movie where Jodie Foster and a young Kristen Stewart try to survive in a panic room from the would be robbers.

So technically superb that it doesn't even matter that its plotting and characters are straightforward, the directing, writing, and performances carry this way over its baseline.

It was supposed to be the safest room in the house. Panic Room is a 2002 American thriller film directed by David Fincher 🏠 Not bad, but not my favourite either 😉 It’s ok, but I feel mixed about this one 😉 I’d recommend it if you like this genre, but if not then probably give it a miss 👍🏼👎🏼 Trapped in their New York brownstone's panic room, a hidden chamber built as a sanctuary in the event of break-ins, newly divorced Meg Altman and her young daughter Sarah play a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with three intruders - Burnham, Raoul and Junior - during a brutal home invasion. But the room itself is the focal point because what the intruders really want is inside it.

I just don't like this movie. I saw it again and I realized that I still didn't like it. The plot is terrible and irrational. The panic room is used almost immediately. It's supposed to be a secret room but the whole movie is ridiculously centered around it with all of the characters hanging in or outside of it. The plot gets more stupid as it goes along, forget the ending. I kept feeling like this would have been a better movie if it was a domestic violence film or something. And the room really served as an escape.

A thriller that is actually a true thriller.

A good, well directed tense film, spoilt by a dumb script.

Immersed in intense tension from start to end, this film, which I'm seeing for the first time more than 20 years after its release, hasn't aged a bit! With a perfect cast, the almost 2-hour film goes by like a flash. The cinematography perfectly masters the nuances of lighting for a film that takes place almost exclusively at night. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

A good thriller, but I don't like it what happened with the money. Everything else was great.

Great plot. Good actors.

Starts off quite slow and it's far from the most gripping thriller, but it's not bad either.

The ending makes me so mad. Raoul was slammed, HARD mind you, in the face with a SLEDGEHAMMER, and then proceeded to fall down a flight of stairs over the balcony. Yet somehow managed to live, and when he was able to drag himself up the stairs and pathetically threw himself at meg, she was down with one "tackle". I despise when movies take smart, able, independent characters and make them do something incredibly stupid, simply for plot devises, or simple so the "damsel in distress" can be saved.
