I am starting to realize that found footage horror can be deeply affecting for me if it's done right. The classic horror movie "Paranormal Activity," is a very good one. I think the movie is inherently scary because most of the creepy things happening happen while the characters are asleep or in the middle of the night. Watching this on a quiet night with a friend made for a truly terrifying experience, and I have to give it props for genuinely frightening me. I do think the two characters in this can be a bit ridiculous in their actions and some of the things they say, but I also think they are intriguing. Overall, it is an effective movie made with a shoestring budget yet is scarier than a lot of the big-budget horror out there, and I'd recommend it to genre fans.

Scary !!!! I loved it

You either like it or you don't and I don't really like I can see why it's scary and why people like it but I didn't find it that scary except the end which did make me a little on edge.

the beginning is a slow burn is what hurt this movie for me but it’s definitely intense and interesting i just wish we knew about this house or something like where were they before this it would of made the characters better when stuff is happening u care about them more the ending is shocking tho like wow it was eh but intense so i give it a 74%

This was maybe the most enjoyable experience to see in a crowded theater of people on edge for the next creeptacular element to make everyone go "OH NO"

This movie made me angry. It was all hype, little delivery. Kind of a good scare at the end but it was a snoozefest up until the climax. This could've been a short film in an anthology series and it would have worked better, but where's the money in that I guess.

This was one of the most painful experiences I have had watching a movie... The acting is unbelievable, and the developments are way too slow. It just becomes so dull at some point. The ending is predictable, and the two sentences explaining what happened after were just lazy. The painful part of this experience was that I just wanted the male protagonist to be killed off asap because he was one of the most annoying characters. His character even made it impossible for me to watch the movie as a laugh. Do not recommend...

Oh, I already remembered why I don't like this kind of movies. I felt it very heavy, slow, and Micah created a feeling of despair, was it like this bato again? Anyway, I didn't feel anything with the movie, it has no emotions, or unexpected twists. They always try it, "based on real events" but it rarely works.

Outstanding film showing what you can do on zero budget. The editing is perfectly executed & you ask youself why you feel so much tension when nothing actually happens!

I really did not enjoy Paranormal Activity at all. Just found it dull and completely boring. However, I will say the ending is fairly frightening.

I personally have never been scared by a movie. Midsommar, not scary. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not scary. Even Cannibal Holocaust wasnt scary to me but this was terrifying. It is very much a slow burn and only the last minute terrified me. I was so ready for the jumpscare but yet I was unprepared at all. It isn't gory or overly sexual. It has some disturbing aspects but what really gets you is the end. The couple seems very real, the guy is quite annoying though. I plan on watching the other movies but not at midnight like i watched this one. Maybe its the time of night i decided to watch it that made it terrifying but none the less i am horrified and will not be sleeping easy tonight. It is a solid movie, not the best thing i have seen but definitely worth your time
