A absolutely masterpiece covering the suffering of Christ

This movie shows the exact depiction of what Jesus had to endure in order to have God forgive our sins. It’s an absolute masterpiece that gives you every single perspective of every single character in the story. The detail of everything that happened to Jesus is demonstrated in this movie. It is very graphic but it is a TRUE STORY. From him getting whipped with the horrendous clips and having his skin tore from his body piece by piece one after the other. Mel Gibson knew exactly what he wanted to cause in his audience, what he wanted them to feel and see. Definitely a movie that causes a movement in our hearts and minds.

The depiction of the prophecy fulfiled! Isaiah 53:4-5 ESV [4] Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. [5] But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Great movie. Hard to believe it was self-funded by Mel Gibson. 5/5

Jesus didn't deserve this at all, but he volunteered to be a human sacrifice for us . Excellent movie to remind us who really loves us!

Phenomenal movie, monumental, the movie that no hollywood studio wanted to touch, that went on to become the top grossing R-rated movie in history. A must see, especially to watch annually around Easter!

I am not truly religious, although I am spiritual. I have read the Bible from cover to cover. This is just a great gritty and realistic depiction of Gibson’s interpretation. It works extremely well. Whether you agree with it or not, damn good movie. People keep telling me that it is such a downer and pretty dark. Well, no kidding. Pretty sure that at this point it would be. Excited to see what Gibson does with the upcoming sequel.

Yes it’s violent and gruesome but that’s just goes to show what our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gone through just to save our lives from eternal damnation and yet people are still complaining about how explicit it is and disgusting. Come on man, what you see in fact is just the bare minimum of what he actually gone through!

Although this movie is extremely gruesome, it accurately depicts the horrors our savior experienced for us. Definitely a must-see!

This movie simply portrays the last three days of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. The movie was very well done, very accurate, very graphic, but all should witness it. Kow that Jesus died for ALL of OUR sins. If you are someone who does not know Christ. May I suggest to you to start reading with the book of John in the new testament. Matthew Mark Luke and John are four of the twelve disciples. But as you get deeper and knowing Christ, and you refer to the old testament and how it fortells the new testament, with a four hundred year difference, is pretty amazing. Christ Jesus our lord God is amazing. Glory to God !!

Regardless of your faith, this is an incredible movie. Gentle and violent in equal measure, with some harrowing and emotive performances from a fantastic cast.

This is a very meaningful film. It brings truth to what has happened to the lord. If you are not a religious person you might not get the meaning of this movie and not have words for it. This movie shows what pain Jesus went through showing the graphic truth. I have no words to describe on how this will change your perspective but it will.

Beautiful, heart wrenching movie that truly shows what Jesus did for our salvation. I cried during the crucifixion and truly felt the Holy Spirit especially at the end of the movie when Jesus rose again. Mel Gibson did a wonderful job and should have been applauded for making this movie especially during a time when Hollywood was not making films like this. It is twenty years later and I still feel the same about this movie.

Jesus saves, true impact of his sacrifice is shown through this film. The pain and suffering all for his blood to cover us all. 10/10
