Never has a picture been better photographed. It is as clear and beautiful as your first memory. Ernest Torrence is a gorgeous Capt. Hook. Anna May Wong is Tiger Lily. Cyril Chadwick and Esther Ralston are delightful.

These dreams are brought to the screen no cleverly, so convincingly and yet so simply that they provide a film of pleasing excitement, of rich humor and on a few occasions a tear or two.

Peter Pan is a perfectly lovely, funny, Interesting, plaint, weird movie, and if Sir James Barrie is one-half as tickled with it as are the youthful (young-young and old-young) [viewers], why, he ought to be cockadoodle-dooing just as Peter does.

One not In the cast must also be mentioned, Roy Pomeroy, assistant director... Flying people, a miniature fairy, a pirate ship sailing from the water's surface up cloudward -- much ingenuity was required for these and their like, and given by Pomeroy.

I have never seen a more perfectly balanced cast than that In the picture of Peter Pan. It Is impossible to pick out anyone who did extraordinarily well in his part, for the performances were so excellent throughout.

The direction of Herbert Brenon gave heart once more to those who still argue that there is imaginative intelligence in the picture industry.

| Oct 20, 2022

Now we have a silent Peter Pan who is as delicate a creation and ns lovable a figure as the Peter of the stage.

George Ali cuts a wonderfully whimsical figure as Nana, the dog.

Those who felt that the Peter Pan of the screen would be disappointing may set their minds at rest, for it is the Peter Pan of their fondest imaginings.

There are too many good things in the film to enumerate at length hut a word must he said for some particularly beautiful scenes including one in which the mermaids are seen disporting themselves on the seashore.

It is a treat for children and grown-ups alike this wonderful fairy tale of the joyous Peter Pan. And Betty Bronson, selected by Sir James Barrie for the part, is most truly the elf he conceived when he wrote the play.

| Oct 20, 2022

It is told with a curious simplicity and whim, and if it is a little too sweet for large doses for adult digestion, Barrie and not Brenon is the man to blame.

One of the loveliest movies for and about children ever made.

Again and again the silence of the audience was snapped by the ringing laugh of a single boy which was quickly followed by an outburst from dozens of others, some of whom shook in their seats in sheer Joy at what they saw upon the screen.

One of the best silent films for the whole family, this magical production of Peter Pan is true to both letter and spirit of Barrie's nursery tale.
