Pretty good sci-fi horror, though with more substance and a little less style it could've been much better.

Great film. Certainly one you can keep in the proverbial rotation. Really underrated and will get its recognition in time.

One of the best sci-fi action flicks I've ever seen.

The first of the Riddick movies... and the best, mostly due to its simplicity.

If you want to watch a great Riddick movie that best utilizes Vin Diesel this is the one to watch, this is the only one to watch.

One of the best sci-fi suspense movies out there. Vin Diesel crafts a unique character which plays perfectly in the alien world our adventure takes place. A character which would go on to inspire two more movies after this one, but neither of those is as good as the first. I am given goosebumps every time I watch this classic survival story, and it will always have a permanent place in my collection.

Dark, too deep to understand.

The film has aged very badly in terms of editing and color grading, but interesting characters and the world outweigh for the better.

Repeated viewings haven't made me a bigger fan, but I enjoy watching this excellent sci-fi / suspense thriller every few years or so. Friends who watched it with me earlier this year were surprised to see a young Cole Hauser (Yellowstone's Rip Wheeler) in a meaty role as the interstellar bounty hunter bent on returning the fugitive murderer, Riddick, to face justice. Vin Diesel is outstanding in the lead along with a tough, brave and fetching heroine played by Radha Mitchell. As for the beasties (creatures of the night), I'll just say that I enjoyed the film's special effects a lot and let you watch and decide for yourself, if you so choose.

This was a good movie. The writing stood out as being a lot better than modern movies. There's a good background, and good characters. If you like Sci-Fi you might like this.

There are few films I'm comfortable with watching on a Wednesday night after a 17inch Dominos BBQ based pizza and a good tug of the purple headed mushroom than this particular film. Vin Diesel's monstrous character provides the viewer with the sci-f drama that they've not most likely seen since the Donna Noble- Doctor Who series. A great film.

The bad guy you want to cheer for. Vin Diesel has his epic breakout performance as Riddick. Nothing more to say, watch it!!!

A small time horror thriller on a distant planet. Vin Desiel is serviceable the rest of the cast does the heavy lifting and the effect are good for the time they came out in. Cool premise that is expanded upon in later films.

Featuring one of the greatest movie spaceship crash landings ever. The cinematography is excellent, different scenes are filmed to highlight the changing conditions and colours the survivors experience whilst stranded on this desert planet with two suns. Then when plunged into total darkness the film takes on another change of pace. The characters and storyline are compelling. The more I've watched this movie over the years the more it's become a firm favourite of mine. Very underrated and I think it's one of the best Sci Fi movies that you could just kick back and enjoy

Fun action, horrible acting almost across the board. I loved it when it first came out, but I was much younger. B-movie, scarce script.
