Pretty much the worst Disney movie I watched. It should’ve been Pixar.

There is one thing that why Is this movie is goated because it look like cars 1 2 & 3

Planes is an exceedingly lamentable film, without a doubt. Neither a commendable spin-off nor an enriched tapestry of lore from the beloved universe of Cars, this motion picture is the production of the infamous Disneytoon studio who made the very lamentable direct-to-video sequels of more superior Classic Disney animated motion pictures. The characters within this film are mere replicas of beloved figures from the significantly superior features of Disney and Pixar's Cars. The writing and narrative are disappointingly mediocre, while the humor is oft peculiar and lacking in wit. The Mexican aerial racer presents himself as quite the unseemly character. One must ponder, why, pray tell, would they squander the talents of John Cleese of Monty Python fame on this venture? Additionally, one must question the expenditure of the voice actor for Sonic in such a lackluster project. The voice acting is passable; overall, this film is not a worthy spin-off of Cars. However, one must commend the audacious attempt to depict World War II within a cars-themed realm. Pray, was Hitler a Volkswagen? Were there Kamikaze in the domain of Cars? Are the battleships imbued with life? Did the atomic bombings transpire in this automotive world? How, indeed, does one reckon World War II unfolds in the universe of Cars?

Cars 2 looks so much better compared to this.

Even as a kid I didn't enjoyed this film nearly as much as Cars. Now I revisit it, and it definitely is a mid movie.

While the animation is not as stunning as Cars, this spinoff has a lot of the same charm. The storytelling may not differ much from the original installments', but it has plenty of its own compelling and emotional story to keep the audience engaged. You find yourself rooting for the little guy from beginning to end. A really fun watch.

Good spinoff of Cars. I like to see spinoffs around boats and trains

The only similarity it has to cats is that an old cat teaches youngster some tricks and tips. That is the single comparison, other than that, you can’t tell me anything else is like it. Good movie as I’m seeing this almost 11 years after it was released🤙

Disney’s spin-off of Pixar’s Cars franchise is about a crop dusting airplane that longs to be a racer. The animation is alright, but the lighting effects are not as good as the ones from Pixar. Again, you have to put aside thinking about the logistics of how this world works. The voice acting is well done here with props to Brad Garrett as the protagonist’s best friend. The writing and storyboarding are where this movie falls short. The movie flows like a checklist of story beats they had to cover for the basics of the story to make sense. Reaction shots, inner monologue, deeper conversations between the characters, really anything that would have endeared these new characters to the audience are all missing. I’m sure a younger audience would be fine with this film and may even ask for a toy or two, but this isn’t a movie for the whole family, skip it.

Loved this movie as a kid. Don’t love it nearly as much now especially because it is basically Cars. It’s not a bad movie, just doesn’t do anything good.

Okay, maybe my opinion is overrated just because I watched it so many times when I was little. However, now when watching it, I understand how boring it is.I believe that this is a very average film that is a pure tracing paper Cars.Some scenes seemed to me too long or too boring, of course some scenes could make me laugh as a child and now, but unfortunately there are not many of them. There is little to say about this movie because it cannot be compared to the same Cars from Pixar because it is simply not pulls.Even the character of the protagonist in "Planes" was not at the level of the character of the protagonist of "Cars".Of course, here is another story about a loser who will defeat everyone, because it is important to believe in yourself and that mentors can be a good . The main thing is that the plane is good.If this is the first cartoon in your life (like mine), then the film may even seem interesting to you. But again, if you compare it with others, you will understand how it is not so exciting.

It's the CARS but...... WITH PLANES!!!!! Wow, so clever and original NOT

I saw this in 2013 when it came out because I thought "planes" would be like "cars." But what it was actually was one of the most boring, trite, and uninteresting films I've ever seen. It has absolutely no merits whatsoever.
