The movie is about as bog standard an action film as you are going to find. There's an all-important flash drive McGuffin that everyone wants. A man's wife and or son is kidnapped, and he is thrust into the action in order to save his family. Throw in some car chases, some shoot ups and betrayals and you got your basic action movie. Even the name is super generic. "Point Blank". Go ahead look up how many other action movies have that same name. There are at least 8 other films with that exact title. And in the context of the story, I don't even know why it's called "Point Blank". But for what it is, it does all of these points pretty well, and at 86 mins, it doesn't waste much time. It just doesn't do anything to stand out from the others.
It's an easy going film with great excitement and a good plot. It's not going to win any awards, but it is a fun watch. It moves along nicely and I had a good time. Definitely worth a watch.
What is this? Action, drama, suspence, crime, comedy...? It tries to be all of this. Therefore it fails. Skip this one, as it will only make you confused.
I really enjoy the off-beat buddy cop style of movie this is going for. Anthony Mackie and frank Grillo have some really funny chemistry, but the movie falls flat sometimes

Good cast great storyline, full of good scenes. Best part no sex no nudity movie can be watched with family without having to worry about fast forward.
Point blank 2.2.21 & 19.2.21 6.7/0. Interesting swirling camera work to go with the music. I like Mr Mackie and his minimal use of that great smile. Had to watch on different days, got bored. Liked the retro music at the end. Wasn't he in altered carbon too? D.B.
This is a simple story but a fun movie to watch. The chemistry between Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie is the heart and soul of the film. The action is continuous and engaging. I found this one to be surprisingly watchable and enjoyable.
Point blank wont win any awards for originality but it’s an easy film to watch that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome with good chemistry between the leads and plenty of action. The movie has the usual beats kidnapping, crooked cops, etc. at least the movie doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and it’s entertaining enough. The leads have a good chemistry would help keep things interesting. Not a memorable film just an easy Friday night watch.

I usually somewhat enjoy action movies but this bored me way more than others do. It's not horrible, just very boring. And that's not ideal for an action movie.
Great tuff guy movie. Kinda feels like an 80's style movie. Great characters. Simple plot but it keeps you involved entire movie. The effects are good. If there was a soundtrack, it'd be off the charts. Great , great music selection. That component gave it the 80's feel. Grillo showed he is more than a one liner actor. I was a little surprised and definitely impressed. Only complaint is that it was a little short on total run time. It could've spent 10-20 more minutes (3-4) more scenes and it's a masterpiece. 🇺🇸
Shocks and suspense hit fast but the soundtrack is out of place, messes with the mood, as if they wanted to use the specific song they got the rights for no matter what. Not the cool juxtaposition they were aiming for. Decent story, some characters are OTT with no other explanation than they're "bad guys." Overall, good action, plot is interesting, wannabe filmmaker hardcore gangstas that turn sweet included…the film is all over the place but it -is- entertaining.
a nice movie, worth my time. nice practical effects. i enjoyed it i was immersed while watching.
Anthony Mackie shows he's capable of being an action hero and not just a Marvel superhero in this Netflix production that had the potential to be way better than another chase movie.
