Postal Reviews
Most of these top critics don't know what they are talking about since they never played the Postal games, thus this movie doesn't make sense to them, but as someone who knows Postal games this movie is great it totally portrays the postal 2 nonsense and I love it. Great movie.
Uwe Boll’s Postal (2007) isn’t just a movie—it’s an explosion of pure, unfiltered chaos that takes the very concept of satire and beats it over the head with a shovel. Based on the controversial video game series, Postal is a cinematic Molotov cocktail: offensive, absurd, and relentlessly nihilistic. And yet, in all its anarchic glory, it achieves something rare—it embodies "absolute cinema" in the most deranged way possible. To call Postal "unapologetic" is an understatement. Boll throws every taboo imaginable onto the screen, from terrorism and religious extremism to American consumerism and political corruption. He doesn’t just break the fourth wall; he obliterates it, mocking his own reputation with a self-insert cameo that cements his status as a filmmaker who truly does not care what anyone thinks. But here’s where Postal ascends into the realm of absolute cinema. It operates on pure, unrestrained vision. It may be vulgar, crass, and offensive, but it is never half-hearted. Every frame is loaded with reckless energy—scenes play out with the kind of unfiltered madness that only a director completely unbound by industry norms can achieve. The result is a film that feels like it was conjured from the depths of an alternate reality where taste and restraint do not exist. Is Postal a good movie? Not in any conventional sense. But as a piece of cinema that embraces chaos as both form and function, it is an unhinged masterpiece. It is cinema at its most extreme, its most fearless—a movie that laughs in the face of conventional storytelling and dares you to look away. In its own deranged way, Postal is absolute cinema.
It is I, John Postal Dude, Don't listen to the critics, watch the movie.
The best generic movie ever!!!!"! I genuinely can not lie to you, I felt so excited at almost every moment of the movie even if it felt like something you´d see on a czech 15+ channel (which is usually not a good thing) AND HE EVEN SAID THE THING!! HE SAID I REGRET NOTHI- ahemn but anyway that´s why I think this movie was awesomesauce!!
This is the kind of stuff I expected out of a Postal adaptation. Filled with very crude and potty humour, it did get some laughs out of me. One of Uwe Bolls more entertaining outings.
2007’s 'Postal' stands out as Uwe Boll’s most entertaining film, which might not sound like high praise given his filmography, but - believe me - it's the best of the bunch. The movie unapologetically revels in its outrageous humor, pulling no punches and sparing no sensibilities. You’ll need a thick skin not to be offended, as it gleefully lampoons everything from societal norms to world events which obviously were very tragic when they occurred in real life. The first half of the film shines with some surprisingly sharp social commentary, offering glimpses of clever satire amidst the chaos. However, the second half trades wit for sheer absurdity, diving headfirst into gross-out gags that lose some of the momentum built earlier. While 'Postal' feels a bit dated today, it kind of doubles as a bizarre time capsule of 2007, capturing the absurdities of the time with a manic, no-holds-barred approach to a loose plot about an 'average Joe' of a guy, finding himself involved in no less than two plots from different bunches of nutters, all trying to destroy the world for their own ends. If you lived through the era and can appreciate its madness with a sense of humour, you’ll find it an unexpectedly fun ride. For all its flaws, it’s a weirdly fascinating film worth a watch if you know what you’re getting into.
more garbage from uwe boll
🍀 3.7/10 Ed Sheeran looking motherfucker with machine gun Kills neighbors. I counted six laughs That’s enough to not make it a certified stinker. ngl most of this is awful but I feel like it doesn’t really care. there’s a couple good little chuckles here and there, but most of it falls pretty flat. Still it never really was dreadful.
Good movie, very postal, don't expect anything else but I don't get why it gets so low scores
JOYA INFRAVALORADA 10000/10
This movie is absolutely absurd, crazy, hateful at most and overtly offensive, but at least it's true to it's core, can be considered a Uwe Boll's cult classic and I don't get tired of watching this over and over again. Hardcore at the very end, worth watching
Is it a dumb film? Yes. But it doesn't try to be smart or thoughtful just like the postal games. The postal series has never demanded a sense of respect and thoughtful to the franchise, it's just slop, but I'd be lying if I said the slop isn't good.
This movie perfectly represents the Postal franchise.
I thought it was a pretty solid movie but k obsessed with the postal franchise so i might have a small bias
this movie is a masterpiece.if movies could be rated AO then this movie would need it 10/10 would watch again!
It's so bad it's great. I'd definitely recommend it as a movie to watch with friends.
Uwe Boll is certainly to the movieworld what the little stain of feces which I can't wash away by just peeing on it is to my toilet... His movies are bad, the screenwriting is even worse, he somehow gets good actors (Jason Statham, Til Schweiger) to give the worst acting in their Carrier... but he realized Postal! Itis low budget, it is goofy and its absoloutly nuts... great! Hr. Boll somehow manages to reproduce the sick and Twisted humor of the Videogame, he even gets some Metahumor with a tongue-in-cheek reference to him being thw holder of the last Nazigold within the movie... Well, it has action, it is absoloutly balony, it is quite greate for fans of the genre. Thw Postsl dude could have been a little more of this nihilistic psychopath he is supossed to be in the Videogames, and while at it - thw humor could have been a little dyrker... But 2,5 Stars is absoloutly fair to give this movie. It is but ahort and good fun, but quite forgetable.
I can't fathom why the other critics are cr*pping all over this film. That's Boll's job and he doesn't clean up. If you only knew how many hours in re-hab the star-packed cast and crew had to give up to cover production costs. At least a morning's worth. Remarkable dialog like, "Do you want to clean the windows again?", "You guys have issues", "Ok, where's that truck?", "A little to the left", and "Save some virgins for me", make this movie what it is. That being, an unvarnished slap in the face to self-righteousness. In the end, it somehow magically morphs into a musical. What's not to love?
truely the most movie of all, dare i say its better than morbius. if you dislike this movie i find you and will kill you.
