Psycho Reviews
As someone that doesn't like black and white movies, Hitchcock was able to capture my attention the entire movie. This movie has twists that I wasn't expecting and allowed you to get a sense of how Psycho Norman Bates truly was.
Psycho to this day is still a cinematic masterpiece. Anthony Perkins was destined to be Norman Bates and still he creeps me out by how well he did for a character like Bates. I mean we can't forget about the shower scene. Still one of the most famous scenes in cinema history. Also the music is so nerve wracking since you can just tell that something is going to happen. Still one of the best horrors of all time in my opinion and favorite movies of all time!
You may get bored but follow hichcocks advice watch the whole thing. One of the best horror movies a absolute must see if you like movies.
There isn't much that hasn't already been said about this film. It is the most important horror film in the history of cinema.
The Most Classical movie to ever watch! This movie has such awesome camera quality and qualities by using it to create the camera like we the audience are watching through widows, showers, and fealing what the characters are doing, feeling, seeibg their facial expressions on the situations they're in, and i do love the minimum of light they use to create some time of tension when we feel uncomfortable or anxious about something about to happen. I do like the long fallowing shots when the characters are just walking around or going to different locations the camera does that but i also love how the camera would point to a item that we need to focus on or how the camera faces in front of the characters faces to see what they're feeling or thinking!! An Amazing movie to watch.
Not much blood, yet still an exciting and terryfing movie!
Best midway twist of all time with an unforgettable ending
Psycho - 10/10. Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is a trailblazing movie for the horror genre. For the time that it came out, Psycho pushed the boundaries as to what a scary movie could do and achieve. Based around a real life serial killer, the movie revolves around a peeping tom motel owner named Norman Bates. Along with his killing tendencies, he also has a really bad case of mommy issues. Marion Crane, an outlaw with a ton of cash on her, makes a bad decision by deciding to make a pitstop at the Bates Motel. This leads to her ultimate demise, which spirals into an investigation lead by Crane’s sister in hopes of tracking down her and finding out what happened. Hitchcock is a master of suspense. He was a person that understood how to create tension and scares, without having to show extreme amounts of violence or gore. Psycho is the perfect example of a movie that makes you imagine the terror i stead of seeing it. Much of the scary moments in the movie are left to our imagination in terms of the things we can’t see. Even with the now infamous shower scene, the camera never shows the knife plunging into Crane. Its the editing and visuals of her eyes and face in terror, along with the blood swirling down the drain that make you feel the magnitude of the situation. Its an amazing movie that still holds up after all these decades. Its one that even if you ate watching it for the first time, it surprises you and grips your attention from start to finish!
Masterpiece. Revolutionize thriller horror movies.
I really liked the movie. I was always on the edge. It was really interesting from the beginning to the end.
I had in my mind before I watched it that it was going to be good, but it more than just good, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The is one of the most essential films you need to watch!
One of the most iconic horror films of all time. A great motion picture by the legendary filmmaker, Alfred Hitchcock. I strongly recommend. 94/100
Must see - great film. Nothing to complain about.
Psycho is an unparalleled triumph in the world of cinema, standing the test of time as one of the greatest psychological thrillers ever made. From its chilling score by Bernard Herrmann to its unforgettable twist ending, every frame of this film is a masterclass in suspense and storytelling.
A perfect exercise in slow-building tension culminating in one of the greatest movie twists. Who's at the window?
A must watch... Absolute perfection, great story, suspense..
