Good movie for older adults ~ light hearted way to face the senior years
Beautiful, wonderful, heart-warming, entertaining movie!
I enjoyed it. You have to make it though the first 15 minutes before it kicks into some fine acting. It's also a rare chance for older actors to be the main storyline and for younger people to see older people as well… people. Jane Curtin is hilarious as usual and there are a few big laughs in the film. I recommmend it.
I could have SWORN I had seen this movie before, or maybe the plot was so predictable it seemed familiar. The storyline was a cute look at senior romance and letting go of the past.
My daughter and I were laughing all the way through. It was sweet and funny and a great way on how getting older feels
A fun movie to watch and enjoy.
It's a little too pat but soooo nice seeing all these great actors on screen.
The rare elderly romcom that is about more than watching old people trying to get laid. It is sweet and well acted.
Funny. Poignant in places. My husband and I both enjoyed it.
Only three minutes into this movie and I got a strong Hallmark movie vibe. And sadly there was good reason for that. This was a Hallmark Christmas movie without the snow and the quaint small town. No cliché was spared. No predictable plot element was left out. An hour and 41 minutes I did not spend wisely.
Major actors doing their best. Some funny lines. Have to mention how fabulous Ellen Burstyn looks at 91.
It drags on so much for a movie this short, could be an hour long.
I really enjoy this movie. It was easy to watch, and as I've been feeling so tired and depressed, it took me out of that. Shows true humanity and real friendships. What first attracted me was the cast. Am 64 years old and this was so fun to watch, the female actors especially, I smiled throughout most of this film❤️
This movie is fantastic and hilarious! The critics may not appreciate it, but if you're looking for a cute, lighthearted film, this is definitely one to watch. Critics, get it together!
Very sweet, old fashion love story. Even though (I must admit) a little cheesy, this one is worth a watch. The incredible cast alone makes this worthy of four stars, and it leaves you with a smile. What more could you ask for? : )
Overall, while the comedy might seem corny, I'm surprised and delighted to say how much fun I had with this film, and I found myself smiling for most of its runtime. It's a light-hearted comedy that also carries nice moments of drama and even an element of romance along the way. For the most part, the performances are great, especially from Jane Curtin, Ann-Margret, and even James Caan. Some moments do feel slightly unfitting or over the top, but this is still an entertaining feature carrying a range of positive messages for all ages.
I quite enjoyed this film - yes its both sentimental and cheesy but I kind of liked it for that. Its an easy and light watch and it has a good cast and some funny moments. I would recommend it, yes.
It's a predictable snoozer of a cotton candy film about an older lady that finds herself in assisted living while her house is repaired. Enter the geriatric mean girls and an older guy and you're supposed to get goose bumpy lovey relationships...but ya don't.
It was like watching a poorly written Lifetime movie with amazing stars power.
Rotten ? Pathetic ?? Pitiful ? Try all of the above.
