Very disappointed with the film. It is a great story made into bad film. Poor directing, bad script and wrong cinematography as well as some very poor acting.

I enjoyed the movie and I think it was nicely acted and told a good story. But here are some things that bugged me. I was a little annoyed about all the period clips. There were just too many of them for comfort. It took away valuable time for storytelling. I thought the courtroom scenes were too short and unrealistic. The lawyer for the girls didn't seem to be putting up much of a defense. The real-life lawyer probably did a better job. The politics and love story were overdone and a bit gratuitous. Did factories have no security in those days? Employees could sneak in at midnight and have a party and steal the paint willy-nilly and former employees could just march in whenver they felt like it? Finally, I have this huge pet peeve about the way the girls did the painting. The boss told them to dip, lick, paint. The actual order was lick (or lip), dip, paint. Why would you dip your brush into the paint and then lick it off? The lick was to get a point on the brush and then put paint on that fine point and then paint the numbers. It was such a small thing, but it bugged me. Finally, I wish they had told the story of the actual radium girls and made it historically accurate, rather than fictionalized. In spite of all this, I mostly enjoyed the movie and found it very touching. At least it gets people thinking about the radium girls.

An interesting story, but the production value was all that good.

Yet another Hollywood made America is bad film. I was excited to watch this film it seemed right up my alley, but the film takes a tragic story and doesn't do it justice. Its all over the place with random overly political moments that have no point in being in the movie and draw from the plot.

Really a must see! I found myself thinking about the history and evolution of women's struggle for safer working conditions, because of this film. The Radium Girls were successful in holding the big corporation responsible for the death of so many dial painters, but the fight for better workplace conditions for US women continues today. We see this in the form of equal pay demands and zero-tolerance for workplace sexual harassment, for example. This movie is a powerful reminder of the importance of speaking truth to power, organizing for social impact, and the strength of everyday women!

Read the book. I am tired of Hollywood turning every story into promotion of communism as the savior and racism as the underlying theme of every story. This book was not about any of that. Read the book.

Bad. Bad & just really bad. The acting was way below par - no engaging characters & felt like a hokey Lifetime movie investigating the Radium Girls. It had a great storyline, but it fell flat on its face due to too much mixing of actual reels from the 1920s with the actors in the movie. It came off as fake & gimmicky. Save your time & just read Wikipedia to get the basis on what happened to the Radium Girls & what they were all about versus spending almost 2 hours of your life watching horrible actors & bad movie directing.

Horrible movie that is bateltybased in reality! If based on book they should have dropped the whole stupid Communism subplot. Actually they should hat just cut that out altogether! So disappointed!

This movie made my heart hurt so much. Hearing the story makes my heart just... ache. I want everyone to see this movie, because the story of the radium girls is heart wrenching. I can't explain the emotions I am feeling for these women right now, it is an absolute must watch.

So I recently watched this movie, and it tried way to hard to be artistic and be feminist that the tragic story of what actually happened is largely lost. We follow fictional characters loosely based on actual people instead of attempting to portray actual people, for those who want to see some of those famous pictures recreated, sorry we don't see any of that, we don't see much of the girls playing with the radium or licking brushes or even working on the factory. the special effects are pretty low budget, all we see is the girls looking pale and mildly bruised, we see the girls doing things I couldn't find any evidence of them doing, like screaming in the factory about the dangers of radium and trying to get the girls from going into the factory, hosting events and rallies, etc. The business is portrayed as straight up evil, no nuance, just mustache twirling, run you off the road in their car evil. I could go on but this review is already massive enough as it is. Overall I was really excited for this movie, but it instead it turned out to be biggest disappointment since The Last Airbender

I really wanted to love this one because the storyline was so interesting but it was just so slow. It took me several tries to even get halfway through it. Such a shame because it had great promise.

Movie about corporate crime, a scientific mystery, an inspiring account of victims banding together, and a courtroom drama.

This is a well-cast, well-directed, and all in all well-made film. I just can't get past the fact that it's a shameless plug for communism. There is such a thing as balancing workers' rights and labor unions within the framework of a democratically-elected free society. One does not need to promote Marxism in order to achieve protection for workers. This film is simply being used as a platform from which to launch propaganda. It would also have been made far more authentic and believable if the language style and accent had not been so out-of-date; it was a strange mix of period-appropriate scripting with expressions/speech styles which were far too modern, too 21st century, for a film set a century ago.

What could have been a great film about the Radium Girls, this movie decided to go the route of zero science and full wokeness. If you like movies that preach to you and throw political correctness in your face at every turn, this movie is for you. If, on the other hand, you want to watch a good movie, skip this one! It is about the billionth movie made since 2016 where the overriding theme is white people=evil.

Interesting, historically, but pretty boring to watch.

Very unlikable characters, anachronistic, and bland. This movie's agenda does less to make its subject matter relevant today, and more to try and shoehorn modern issues into the past. What's next? Asbestos boys? Coal Mine Kids?

This movie was beyond ridiculous. It was so badly acted. A lot of it is cringe worthy and laughable. Honestly, don't waste your time. It's an interesting story, just horribly executed. Actively bad.

Ugh! I read this book and absolutely loved it! It was a great story that needed to be told and the book was fantastic! I was waiting for the movie....soooo disappointing. I feel bad because I know they tried, but seriously...I could have done this better in my backyard. It was so bad, the whole thing from the acting to the direction and cinematography. Awful. What a shame because it is a very important part of history that should be known.
