I paid 27 euros for this! I got scammed! THIS IS NOT CARRIE!
Exact same plot as the original, just updated to late 90鈥檚 pop culture. The script and character development are also cringy AF. I gave 3 stars still, however, because the death scenes at the end were hilarious and full of drama, making this a half decent watch if you鈥檙e after some cult classic vibes with 90鈥檚 cheese 馃槀
I really loved this movie growing up. Watching it in 2024 of course it's cringe and melodramatic, but I still really love it. The cast is really good. I'd say by the end you are certainly rooting for the jocks & Melrose place oober bi**hes to get what's coming to them. If it didn't have the name carrie attached I think it would be better received.
Completely unnecessary sequel to a classic鈥� a sequel that actually turned out to be pretty good. The returning cast and continuity is a welcomed addition. Rachael is a pretty good horror 鈥渧illain鈥� and the rest of the supporting cast deliver a decent portrayal of nice/douchey people. Some great action sequences on show especially in the awesome final act. Definitely worth a watch!
The first film was a classic. How it remained `stand-alone' for so long is a mystery to me. I can't believe so bright Hollywood money-man didn't think of doing a sequel waaay sooner than twenty-three years later. And, as we all know, how many times are sequels even nearly as good as the original? Not many. But Carrie 2 doesn't totally disgrace itself. Carrie 2 felt a bit like a `part remake/part sequel.' It was certainly good to see the one of the main actresses come back for the sequel - it helped bridge the gap quite nicely. The `new' plot basically recycles the old one. If you don't know what happens - basically, bullied girl gets revenge on her tormentors through her uncontrollable telekinetic powers. Anyway, the film is actually pretty good. No, it'll never recapture the `shock value' of the original as you basically know what's coming, but it's an enjoyable horror-yarn nonetheless. If you liked the original, you shouldn't feel too aggrieved at someone cashing in on the Carrie-name after two decades. And, if you haven't seen the first one, you should get what's going on without feeling you've missed out.
Very strange. This whole film was just dumb in my opinion. A lot of the 2000鈥檚 slang used was outdated. I don鈥檛 understand how it was necessary to make a sequel. Carrie just leaves no room for one, I guess Rachel being Carries sister was a smart workaround, but the movie was too boring. It鈥檚 ok to watch casually, and some of the jumpscares are decent but that鈥檚 all the praise I鈥檓 giving it. An objectively bad film. 1.5/5 stars. (P.S. what the hell was that dream sequence at the end? It was super weird and I don鈥檛 get it.)
In Carrie 3(not the remake), we need to see who plays Ralph White?
It's greatest strength is it's greatest weakness. Strong characters in a weak story, while everyone gives a valiant effort a bad script cant save this dud. Still a fun watch if you hate watch. The soundtrack is so out of place but the unintentional humor is fantastic.

My favorite Carrie movie!!!
Filme bacaninha, o roteiro 茅 mais ou menos, a hist贸ria 茅 bacaninha que fala sobre a meia-irm茫 de carrie, s贸 que os personagens s茫o mais ou menos, as cenas s茫o mais ou menos at茅 o final, que rachel lang meia-irm茫 de carrie, tem uma compuls茫o de raiva e usando seus ataques ps铆quicos no pessoal da festa e matando todos eles, com rachel arrancado de uma cara, jogando peda莽os de vidros nas pessoas, e matando outras pessoas de outras formas, e depois rachel morre com uma parte do teto caindo nela, com tudo isso, quase o filme inteiro foi fraco s贸 o final salvou, eu s贸 recomendo para ver a parte final do filme.
I thought this was decent. I think some folks expect more than they should. Good to watch if you need to pass the time. But, Its not an Oscar winner.
It's not that Bad This Drama is better than it's reputation but it's still a very mediocre Horror Sequel
A short sighted sequel that really was only trying to cash in on the craze of 90s self-aware horror.
Alors que les trente premi猫res minutes du film peuvent faire penser au pire, un remake de Carrie mais 脿 la sauce teen movie 90s sans aucune subtilit茅, The Rage : Carrie 2 est exactement cela, mais en r茅ussi. Il faut un petit temps pour s'adapter 脿 la chose mais Katt Shea et ses sc茅naristes ont assez de bonnes id茅es pour transformer ce qui aurait d没 锚tre une resuc茅e mercantile en un petit film d'horreur assez agac茅 et violent comme il se doit, avec quelques s茅quences de bravoure toute 脿 fait remarquables. Emily Bergl, Dylan Bruno et Amy Irving sont remarquables, la premi猫re parvenant parfaitement 脿 cr茅er un personnage qui n'est absolument pas un Carrie White proxy mais bien un personnage 脿 part enti猫re. Ajoutez-y quelques mises 脿 mort rago没tantes (voyez ce qu'ils font avec une paire de lunettes et quelques CDs) et vous avez un film d'horreur tout 脿 fait acceptable et bien plus encore.

Not a masterpiece, or even up to the level of any of the Carrie adaptations, but it is surprisingly effective.
A nice modern, 90's reboot of the original with some better kills.
The only good thing one might say about this film is that it does fill some of the plot holes of its 1976 predecessor. Everything else just feels so cheap that I really wonder where the 20 million Dollar budget (that's more than that year's "best picture" "American Beauty had) went.
