Raging Fire Reviews
Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 6,5
action was good. entertaining. just dont expect much depth
Excelente policial de accion. Una historia diferente, personajes grises que no son ni tan buenos ni tan malos, es entretenida desde que empieza hasta que termina, las escenas de peleas, explosiones y disparos se ven espectaculares.
way better than i expected it to be tbh
Only some of the actions scenes are watchable. Insanely bad writing and characters. The "good cops" are way more corrupt and violent than the antagonist.
Excellent movie! 💓Good always wins. Awesome stunts. 😁
Incredible action scenes. The dialogue is at times silly (the movie almost assumes viewers are looking at their phones during dramatic scenes) but the action more than makes up for it. The final duel is particularly amazing!
Excellent story, fast paced, and of course the stunts and choreography are off the charts. Donnie Yen never disappoints!

And here is another Donnie Yen showpiece. Anyone who might be chatting away still about Bruce Li and Jackie Chan should be clearing the schedule to go on a Donnie Yen Binge Watch.
I really enjoyed this film. Its got a good mix of character development and action, with some really quite impressive explosions and other slick action based special effects. The plot has some twists and its pretty gripping stuff, with one very memorable scene involving a car, with a lot of destruction involved!. If your looking for a slick Asian action film, this may well be it. I'd definitely recommend it, yes.
This was really good and 100% adrenaline from the first scene.
The pinnacle of Hong Kong cinema in recent years. Style, action, characters, story, you name it and it is excellently executed.
Director Benny Chan's last outing due to unfortunately passing away, is a fun martial art flick. Raging Fire has amazing and stylish fight choreograph that are exhilarating. Additionally, a great performance from both Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse with the intense rivalry of their characters. However, the story and characterization is bare bone with the movie having moments of slow pacing due to long expositions and overuse of flashbacks. The movie did not need to be 2 hours. It also has a slight clash of tone as the first half of the film has action set piece that feel grounded and gritty. The second half then starts having these really cartoony action scenes that make it feel like a completely different movie. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable martial popcorn flick that will definitely keep you entertained for it's run time.
The plot isn't exactly original or clever, and if you're familiar with the Chinese action/thriller genre, I'm sure you'll recognise all the elements. The key to the film's success is that it puts together and executes all of those familiar elements to a high standard, thanks to slick directing from Benny Chan and a dedicated cast. The result is a classic-feeling, entertaining genre film complete with a number of great action set-pieces which is probably exactly what you hoped for when you decided to press play.
To suggest Benny Chan is the Michael Bay of Hong Kong cinema is an insult to Bay (P.S. RIP to Chan). There is zero subtlety in Chan's movies, and they all reek of corn and cheese. Watching this film will permanently lower your intelligence quotient; couple that with Donnie's legendary anti-acting and Nicholas' overacting, and you have yourself a classic candidate for a hate-watch. Seriously, Donnie Yen is very likely the worst actor in HK cinema history.
