It has the humour of the games, an solid cast and decent animation but the movie feels very generic which makes it one of the better video game movie adaptations

I love the games. But this movie has no ding dong! 😑

As a huge fan of the series, I've enjoyed the film. Nefarious stole the show as the villain, the Negotatior finally returns despite only for a few seconds, and they even refrenced the iconic RYNO (or RYNO 4EVER from Tools of Destruction) weapon.

While not being very satisfying to older viewers and hardcore enthusiasts of the series such as myself, it provides a moderately entertaining experience for most viewers (especially kids.)

Remember how the Ratchet & Clanck games had good story, likable characters, good jokes and were fun to play? Well this movie doesnt have any of that (despite a good animation)

The movie is just a collection of cutscenes from Ratchet and Clank remake along with some extra animated bits which makes the movie very low effort. I might have not cared if the plot, character development and character behaviour of the game (which the movie follows) was good but it just isn't. Personally I think the only people who might like this movie are people who either never played the games and just saw the poster for it and thought "me kids might like it" to which they then took their kids to watch for some lazy dumbness or people with no real taste.

This movie was a disappointment that failed to capture the heart of what made Ratchet and Clank special. There's no relationship growth or character development. Just play the games.
