Red Lights Reviews
Liked it. Didn't see the ending coming. I thought it was going to stay cerebral, but then it introduced the supernatural all the way at the end. Not sure it has any rewatch value.
Perception vs reality was a great theme of the movie. Unfortunately, the pieces of this thriller (not even close to horror) were so messy that the likes of Weaver, De Niro and Murphy couldn't salvage it.
Red Lights should never have got then green light. Unfortunate that such an awesome cast went to waste on such a slow, convoluted and pointless film.
A film that could yield more. In my opinion, poorly prepared and poorly directed thriller, but even so, if you have patience, it's worth watching, without commitment. The actors try hard and through their performance, they hold our attention. The story even has twists and turns, but not that they won me over and, at the climax, a lot was left unexplained. The content is good, but poorly managed, without any paranormal powers, just another Hollywood case
Once again, seeing the poor ratings for this film, I am convinced some people have no taste. Excellent movie, but I would expect nothing less from a De Niro move. Surprise ending that I couldn't predict. Ignore the poor ratings. I highly recommend this movie!
Surely with a cast like this a better film could have been made.
That was some bad storytelling… The ending was way too vague. A blind psychic should be able to catch anything thrown at them. The dialogue was weak and ambiguous. I suspect something ended up on the cutting room floor that shouldn't have been cut. It wasn't clear who was doing what and why. Exposing the fraud should have been clear and there should have been shock and outrage from the crowd. There should have been more foreshadowing and cleaver insights… It was a very weak ending. The actors did good with what they had, but the ending destroyed the story.
Solid Movie, don't get the bad Reviews.
A good movie for people looking for something different, a small group of debunkers have to try and prove fellow colleagues wrong that psychics don't exist. An all star cast and a good storyline makes red lights a must see
The writing made about as much sense as a fever dream. Such a waste of a talented cast.
The ending make me shocked. I didn't expected that. Poor Tom
Certainly worth a watch but just don't expect something as stellar as a hybrid of The Others and The Usual Suspects that the film itself thinks it is. 6/10
2 hours of my time I will never get back. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. What an absolute waste of film!
Great movie. Spooky and creepy like movies used to be. Now it's all blood and guts and to shock with as much gore as possible. This movie has a great cast. And if nothing else I get 2 hours to stare at the immensely talented and gorgeous Cillian Murphy. Can ask for better than that.
Amazing movie with unpredictable end. Good spooks, thrills and chills. If u enjoy the unexpected you have to watch this movie. Not suitable for those who are pregnant, suffer stress, asthma, uncontrolled epilepsy or might have heart disease
I feel this is such an underrated film Great actors and an interesting story with a twist. It might also be because I love the scientific debunking with the message of there just might be something else that we can't explain. Watch and decide for yourself
A strong cast but weak plot line. Im not sure that the film knew which way it was going, either this film had a lot of poor editing or the writers must have been drinking heavy. Very predictable ending.
Assumes the audience is happy with loud noises, flashes of light, and little else. It's slow and deliberate, and delivers very little in the thrills department
oh my god ... it was embarrassing. it was free on youtube. i just wanted it to end, but turning it off would have meant standing up, walking across the room, and the movie wasn't even worth that much effort. it was so bad. how did this get greenlit?
