Great movie! So raw and real emotion. Simon Rex nailed his part!

I went to see this because I liked Tangerine and The Florida Project. This has the same gritty feel but is more scripted, which is a good thing. Simon Rex puts in a great performance.

Terrific movie about a faded porn actor who returns to his hard-scrabble home town in Texas and tries to work the angles. Great acting.

Great acting. Simon Rex proves is can carry a movie on his shoulders. Good mix of drama & humor.

How this movie got any reviews above one star is beyond my comprehension. It was the very worst movie Ive ever seen in a theater. I had to really think about that, it was the worst. No plot, no story even, just a series of stupid events.

Yo slow but good acting from Simon rex

It's about a narcissistic porn star living with his sex worker, drug addicted wife and her cranky mother. The guy would be homeless if she didn't let him in. Then this 40 something porn star picks up a 17 year old girl. I felt like I needed to take a shower after watching this. It wasn't really funny, more disturbing.

Acting was believable my highest compliment. Saw a slice of life alien to me but fascinating in all the ways humans can be.

Funny but I'm struggling to answer the simple question: What's the movie about? There really is no simple answer which is why Sean Baker films are so intriguing and thought provoking. The casting and acting in Red Rocket are superb. For 2 hours, let yourself get drawn into a world you're likely not accustomed to. 4.5 Stars.

Total waste of time. Not one character in this movie was even the least bit interesting.

I can't even rate this movie--I wouldn't even give a one star if I could--this site would not let me not give it a rating . It was a horrible movie. I do have to say the acting was good, the main character was so good at acting horrible--he had no redeeming qualties and was very hard to watch.

i give the writer/director/actor points for all the work he put in. Had to take a shower after watching this turd, but all in all not terribly horrible. DEFINITELY better than "Licorice Pizza"

Go for no other reason than to watch SIMON REX in his element here. One of the BEST performances all year!
