Strong performances by Annette Bening (always excellent) and Mikki Allen are the highlight. Harrison Ford is good but not great in this one. The rest of the supporting staff are also excellent. I would watch it again.

I love this movie. I watch it at Christmas time. It’s hopeful. Second chances. If you can watch with a box of Mallowmars - even better.

Great movie that will keep you hooked.

This was a sad, yet charming love story. And, about doing the right thing.

This movie is a fine script and brilliantly directed by Mike Nichols. Great acting ,sensitive thought provoking re the meaning of life. Very authentic. I can't imagine why anyone would give this a bad rating. Unless they haven't seen tragedies turn to gold with hard work and the right attitude. It's a classy deep thinking well paced movie in all respects.

Henry Turner (Harrison Ford) ist ein erfolgreicher Anwalt mit einer Frau und einer Tochter. Er verbringt nicht viel Zeit mit seiner Familie, sondern konzentriert sich eher auf seine Arbeit und er ist in seiner Kanzlei bei seinen Kollegen sehr beliebt. Eines Tages er von einem Ladendieb angeschossen wird, fällt er ins Koma. Als er aus dem Koma erwacht, hat er alle seine Fähigkeiten verloren und auch sein Gedächtnis. Henry muss alles wieder neu erlernen und benimmt sich wie ein Kind. Harris Ford spiel hier seine Rolle wie eigentlich immer super. Am Anfang spielt er einen unsympathischen Anwalt. Ab dem Moment wo er sein Gedächtnis verliert und sich wie ein Kind benimmt, spielt er sehr überzeugend. Generell muss man sagen, dass der Cast perfekt ist und die Beziehung zwischen Henry und seiner Familie ebenfalls gut dargestellt wurde. Wer einen dramatischen Film erwartet, könnte sehr enttäuscht werden. Der Film bringt viel Humor mit sich und ist nicht so stark auf Emotionen fokussiert. Es gibt auch emotionale Momente, welche gut funktionieren. An einigen Stellen zieht sich der Film und der Charakter Bradley hat mir am Anfang nicht gefallen, aber es hat sich gebessert. Die Beziehung zwischen Henry und seiner Tochter hat mir am besten gefallen, da sie so authentisch gewirkt hat. Der Film hat viele Elemente, die es auch in anderen Filmen gibt, es ist nicht besonders neues dabei, trotzdem überzeugt der Film mit tollen Charakteren. Die anderen Anwälte sind nicht näher beleuchtend und sind eher nur Geldgierig. 8,5/10

Harrison Ford is a hot shot lawyer who is shot in the head survives and looses his entire memory and identity. Predictable but heartwarming.

Its contrived but Ford is so good it is more than worth the watch.

The best inspiring movie ever made!

Not usually one for dramas, but this is a good under the radar flick

One of if not the most underrated movie starring Harrison Ford.

I liked the movie but the second time watching I noticed why I didn't love it. Ford kind of sucked, it just isn't a role for him. His facial expressions and him pretending not to be able to do things was acting 101 and he failed. His an action film personality...Star Wars, Fugitive, Indiana Jones. Drama and basically anything else is not his forte. I actually thought Annette Benning saved the film and even the daughter was better. Now that I think of it John Leguizamo was even better for his minute crackhead role.

Great movie. The way it depicts how the relationship with his child moves from a conventional, authoritarian one to a loving, consensual one is inspiring.

Harrison Ford was not a good actor. So there's that. The movie itself is chock full of conspicuous devices and predictable turns. Cliches. Attempted manipulations. It's not oppressively bad - it's just a bit bad. I feel like any kind of actor at all could have made it better but as is, 3.9 out of 10.

Not one of the best films from legendary Mike Nichols, but I still actually like this one. It is neat seeing Harrison Ford in this kind of role.

Not a great film, but I've always liked it. Something different for Harrison Ford. I was surprised to see J.J. Abrams in a cameo, then learned that he wrote it. Give it a try if you are a Ford Fan.

Mike Nichols, who managed to get Harrison Ford to deliver the finest performance of his career in the film, directs this underrated and rather overlooked gem.

High powered attorney suffers traumatic brain injury and can't remember much of his past, which is good considering he's an asshole before the injury. But after the injury he soon becomes close to his daughter and realizes what's important in life. This drama could've easily been a Lifetime Movie of the week.
