A well portrayed film about that era in history great choice of cast and excellent acting a well told storyline that does not deviate at any point of the film. A true honest of a film that is inspirational to athletes and anyone that is looking for a great motivational film, this is a must watch.
A very impactful movie and really inspirational to people like me and deserves a lot of fame.
Good movie that not only is an exciting, intense movie, but also has a heart to it that really elevates it.
this is a really great movie and one of my top five faves of all time
This movie is goated
Superbly motivating and moving masterpiece.
An uplifting sports drama and a stellar performance from Denzel Washington
One of the best movies of all time. The lessons effectively taught/harped on through classy, motivating and relatable scenes make this something I will forever watch and recommend. Denzel. Life lessons, and a message that was so important at its time that people needed to hear. (Some still need to hear it!)
Best sports movie of all time.
Back before Superhero movies dominated the box office, movie studios were investing big into "Sports Movies". Disney made quite a few around the turn of the century. Stuff like "Miracle", "Rookie" and "Glory Road" are all good, but "Remember the Titans" is their best. "Remember the Titans" is based on a true story about Coach Herman Boone, an African American coach who comes to coach at a Virginia High School the first year after the school had been racially integrated. Racial tension runs high throughout the community as Coach Boone and Coach Yoast teach these kids about a lot more than just football. The acting by all those involved is top notch in this film. I will draw special attention to Washington who puts in a powerhouse performance. It should go without saying, I don't think Denzel has ever put in a mediocre performance. The music by Trevor Rabin hits all the right emotional beats, this is a really great and motivational soundtrack. This movie is able to balance two different elements very well, sports and racial tension. Despite being a Disney PG movie, the film treats its audience with respect. It doesn't sugar coat a problem, nor does feel like it is preaching, it is just giving the facts. This film does take a couple creative liberties with the "true" story aspect, but never to the film's detriment and never to a manipulative degree. And if you just came to this film to watch a solid sports movie, this film has you covered there as well. Sound bites of different motivational speeches can be used from this movie in locker rooms for decades after the film's release. The sports part does everything a sports movie should do. It pumps up the audience, it gets them to stand up and cheer, it motivates them to do better. And at the heart and soul of this film we have the characters. They are likable, relatable and have conversations that feel real and natural. They go on compelling character arcs which have them grow as people in a realistic way. If you are a fan of Sports movies, this is one of the all-time greats. Everywhere I go, people want to know, what's a great sports movie? So, I tell them, "Remember the Titans" the mighty mighty Titans.
Denzel Washington is that guy. One of the most powerful movies of all-time. All-time classic.
If you're a football fan and a movie lover, you know that films about football are usually inadequate. From my viewings, I'm not sure there will ever be a five-star film about football. But "Remember the Titans" comes close. With Denzel Washington lending his talent to the lead role -- and when has Denzel ever picked a bad movie to lead? -- Boaz Yakin might have close as anyone to reaching the pinnacle of the football film. It was the best of its type when I saw the film in October, 2000, and I still think it's one of the best sports movies I've ever seen.
Remember the Titans is one of the best sports films ever made. With a strong message of unity and brotherhood at its core, I left this movie wanting to be better. Though some elements are melodramatic and overacted, the majority of the plot is full of true passion. From Denzel to Gosling, the actors in this film give it their all and bring this inspiring story to life. There isn't a dull moment in the 120 minute runtime and the football scenes are well-executed. Ultimately, I love this movie and everything that it stands for. Additional Note: The line "Don't you see the family resemblance? That's my brother" is an all-timer!
A childhood favorite.
Everyone should see this
My favorite Sport's film.
Best football movie I've seen. Sad but also lovely in the relationship of the two mane characters.
Majorly flawed, definition of "Hollywood" storyline, and yet still compelling.
Best movie EVER!! Proof the "Critics" are clueless because this film is 100%!!!!
The movie was fanastic as it had elements that were both thrilling and empowring as the film challenges you to become a better human being. 10/10.
