An affectionate and enlightening bio of one of our fearless actors.
Always been a massive fan of Gene Wilder. This documentary is beautiful. What a lovely man. Thank you for all the joy you brought to our screens. You will be greatly missed but affectionately remembered forever.
Touching recap of the life of this wonderful man. Filled with so many interviews and behind the scenes information.
Must see for any Gene Wilder fan!!
Such a great job! They really captured the essence of Gene Wilder here.
Loved it. Highly recommend.
Gene’s humanity and unique ability to be so distinct in every moment is what sets him apart from any ordinary comedic actor. Truly one of a kind. When you love the person from the first scene, you know they are very special!
A delightful and unique though too short documentary about a delightfully and unique man. Hearing so much of it in his own voice made it all the more magical. It left me wanting more.
While I did like this movie it felt like it was missing something.
Phenomenal documentary on Gene Wilder. Covers all his greatest from beginning to end. Includes most if not all of his collaborations as well. An amazing look at an truly astounding life and career!
A great movie about a great man and performer. I knew the great performer before I saw it but was unaware of how much he was loved.
It was a lovely journey. I am 51 years old and love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Blazing Saddles and Mel Brooks. This documentary was very thoughtful and emotion-evoking for me. I remember when his death was announced back in 2016 and wondered why I hadn't heard about Gene in some time. Made me very sad. He brought so much joy to the world. And to see the way he was with the child actors was so wonderful. And on and on and on. Just really lovely. I can't think of a contemporary actor that I could compare to Gene - and that says a lot. Thanks.
Good watch on a great subject. Wonka will always have a spot in my memories but the best was it brought back alot of great memories watching See No Evil, Hear No Evil over and over growing up. He was a great.
I saw this in a local art theater, and was very happy that it was so well done. Despite the fact that you hear Gene Wilder sharing his experiences throughout the documentary, some RT critics still wanted more and some clearly wanted dirt to point at. It was clear from the movie that Wilder was highly respected and loved by his peers. It's too bad that that's not enough for some critics.
This biopic documentary was very good. The entire crew did a spectacular job on documenting one of the greatest actors of all time, Gene Wilder. It was very dramatic and amazing to see the life and career of a true genius. If you haven't seen this documentary yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see.
What a fantastic tribute to one of greatest actor/comedians of the film and stage. If only they were all like Gene Wilder
Gene Wilder was a happy man seemingly and this is a happy film that will rip you in half with happy and sad tears. Wilder is regarded as one of the best comedic actors of all-time, and this chronicles his professional and personal life. I feel like there could be a movie just on the on-screen relationship between Wilder and Richard Pryor, but this is fairly fast-paced. Wilder comes off as a genuinely content human in life and in death his legacy lives on in this feature documentary. Final Score: 9/10
My heart is touched! My favorite actor and a great influence in my life! Watch this! You will not be disappointed.
