Riff Raff Reviews
Excellent movie i love it
The only good thing about this movie is the cast. The trailer makes this look like more of a comedy than it is and shows every funny moment. I might have liked it more if the marketing were more in line with the film
Well this was a good surprise I had not seen anything like this for quite some time it's refreshing all star cast it's wow I was blown away so many things maybe laugh in this it was really insane at times Bill Murray ed Harris and Pete Davidson magic on screen if this would have went another way what the outcome would have been but it probably would have been crazier maybe very enjoyable.
Certainly entertaining and funny, but it doesnt have a lot of meat on its bones. Bill Murray as a cold blooded gangster though, that is not something I knew I needed. Step aside DeNiro.
The movie is about a retired hitman Vincent whose life is turned upside down when his ex-wife and son arrive unannounced because they are on the run from his former mob associates. Directed by filmmaker Dito Montiel this is a really fun dark comedy with a great eclectic cast with very few weak spots. Going into this I figured it would be just another silly comedy and even though it has over the top elements it actually goes down smooth and comes off as very entertaining. The film is led by Ed Harris although I think the real standout performance came from Lewis Pullman playing his son Rocko, and we also get a fun unexpected team up with SNL veterans Bill Murray and Pete Davidson. Altogether it may be a bit too violent and tonally odd for some, but I think this is a really enjoyable crime film that mostly works.
It was fun... Predictable, but fun. There are many comedic nuggets with a freaking phenomenal cast to make it worth your time. Or, watch another comic book knock off, I don't freaking care. All I know is that this was a fun Sunday afternoon.
Absolute must see! Killer cast and the storyline has so many intertwining layers and surprises. BRAVO!
Excellent. The critics and the audience are wrong.
This was a terrific movie. Cast was excellent - it was a fun movie with some laughs, but also had some genuinely scary moments when lives were at stake. Bill Murray and Pete Davidson had amazing chemistry as the hitmen, and Miles Harvey was hilarious as the young son of Ed Harris. Not sure why people are so down on this movie, it was a really entertaining film that kept me interested from beginning to end.
Good cast and very entertaining.
Wow, just terrible. And I like everything Bill Murray is in! Youll get em next time...
Even Bill can’t make you watch this movie. Not worth the time.
Crime is a family affair. Riff Raff is a 2024 American crime comedy film directed by Dito Montiel 🎭 Can’t recommend it. Oof, this isn’t good 🙁 Probably give it a miss 👎🏼 Not funny… A retired hitman's life is turned upside down when his ex-wife and son arrive unannounced during the holidays because they are on the run from his former mob associates.
Garbage, a waste of $10 and two hours of my life. My wife says I am banned from picking movies after this fiasco.
I loved most everyone involved but this movie was so bad I had to create a rotten tomatoes account just to warn people. The worst written and directed movie I've seen in a long time. This movie is offensively bad. How do you make this cast look this bad? They all deserved better.
'Riff Raff' is a stale crime comedy tale that wastes its stellar cast with a tired narrative.
That was really messy. Interesting story but the telling was confusing and all over the place. I watched it because I like some of the actors. I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. I finished it because I wanted to see how it ends. It’s ok to have it in the background and pass some time.
This is a small film with a good story, great Direction, and a great cast. I watched it for Bill Murray. It is an unusual role for him, but he is really versatile. He plays a middle level mob boss out for the revenge of the murder of his son. Pete Davidson, Gabrielle Union, Ed Harris and Jennifer Coolidge are very good in co-starrring roles. Miles J. Harvey is a the best part of the movie and the cerebral son of Union and Harris. This is part mob movie, part comedy, part drama. It is unusual and good. The dialogue is very good and well executed by the cast. This is an unusual independent film worth supporting and seeing.
