Romeo & Juliet Reviews
it’s a insanely terrible movie, when i wash his movie in class the emotions that I felt was embarrassment that I was watching such a terrible movie, dreadful for everyone else watching a movie, The amount of cringe I got from this. whoever made this movie needs to get fired, including the bad actors
this movie was so bad, I would never watch it again it would be way better if the actors knew how to act and if the story plot didn't make any since
I liked this movie but I wouldn't watch it again. it was interesting but kinda weird.
The movie was really amazing I really recommend it your a teacher in high-school teaching Shakespeare. IM doing this for extra credit.
I recommend it, pretty close to the actual book. Thought it was going to be bad but it came out pretty good and very interesting. I would definitely recommend to watch this.
This movie was so bad worst movie I have ever seen whatever you do, DO NOT watch this movie. It was actually so bad I wanna bleach my eyes after watching this movie. If I had one choice to ban a movie it would be this. I hope this movie gets banned on God.
This crap is hot butt don't watch its really bad because it doesn't follow the story that well and the actors are ugly and actors are bad it's all bad overall and stuff
this movie was so bad it could have been better I wanted more character more love more every thing
Absolutely terrible, if I watched this on my own I would stop after the first minute but was forced to watch all the way through, absolute torture. Every moment I had to watch made me want to kill myself even more. The acting, casting, EVERYTHING was terrible.
this movie was outright despicable Romeo was ight and cute ig but if Leonardo di capro was in it I would love it so much and I would be happy instead of depressed. this movie sucks and I hate it so much words can't describe.... broke my heart I didn't shed one tear but in the 1999 whatever one I did so much
This movie is so horrifically bad. The bad green screens, the acting, everything. It is incredibly boring. Paul Giamatti - love the guy - but horrible casting as Friar Lawrence. My students hated it more than I did.
Brilliant, tactfully handled script. Bringing your own imagination into this movie by reinterpreting Shakespeare's lines is something daring and must be awarded. The acting lacked passion howsoever gorgeous each of the main cast appeared. Moreover, I am thankful to the director for stripping nudity scenes & sexual violence from this film and that has only made it age-appropriate & thereby, gained a wider fanbase. I shall watch this edition with my parents without having any fear of exposure to heinous scenes.
This movie in incredible it’s so underrated Hallie Seinfeld and Douglas booth are amazing actors as are the rest of the cast definitely one of my favorite adaptations of Shakespeares tragedy please watch it
The film wasn't bad to say the least. It got the job done. The acting was good, the music was actually pleasing and the fight choreography was... okay. I do think it could've fared better if it used more Shakespearean-written dialogue, but aside from that, it works well with what it has.
I LOVED it. The acting, music, dialogue, and overall depiction of the play was gorgeous and moving. While it is clear many disagree—I would not be convinced otherwise that this is not an extremely beautiful work of art.
I love this movie so, so much. It has such great acting and hailee steinfeld is amazing per usual!
Every time Romeo and Juliet is adapted, it seems like they get worse and worse. The 1968 movie is incomparable.
This film was, in word, imbalanced. Carlei's attention to aesthetics seems to overpower everything else, resulting in plot inconsistencies, a butchered script, and a plot that is carried forward entirely by exterior characters. Even the surprisingly excellent supporting cast is not enough to offset the passionless performances from stars Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth, who both seem to have been plucked out of a preteen drama, dressed in 14th century Italian garb, and given an unfamiliar script to recite. Most of supporting cast (in contrast to the leads) is phenomenal, which serves, on one hand, to make the movie watchable, but on the other, to insure it's off-balanced tone. I'm giving the film two stars: one for filmography - the visuals are stunning. The other is for Paul Giamatti, whose Friar Lawrence is almost embarrassingly good against the rest of the cast.
