A fresh comedy, with some great actors.

I think this movie was trying to be something it isn't. It simply didn't serve.

I love Shakespeare and had high hopes from this movie. It's not just the anachronisms that made me hate this movie, it's the lack of...everything. Few minutes in and I found myself wanting to do something else I didn't the feel the chemistry between the main characters and the storyline is generic and was done better in other movies.

The Romeo and Juliet story from Rosaline's perspective is an interesting one. Rosaline is a campy film with ample cheese but a decent time.

Well, I don't think the movie is horrible or bad, I just think the central theme is a little empty, but forgetting that, the movie is fantastic to watch when you have time, without forgetting that it is a fun and entertaining movie.

I loved this movie! It was a great, light-hearted comedy with a ambitious female lead. Every interaction with Rosaline and Dario was fun to watch and I loved seeing their relationship evolve.

100% not historically accurate or even true to the original play. But it embraces a different perspective to become something new and very entertaining.

watched this with my girlfriend. She normally does not enjoy romantic comedies. However, "Rosaline" took a premise of a normal story to such a creative and unique space that she thought hey, "that movie was good." Good Movie.

I honestly, really like this movie. Most Romeo and Juliet movies don't have a plot that stands out. Usually it's basically the same twist and points, but with Rosaline it shows a side we've never seen or heard much of. It's a funny parody and has a good plot overall 10/10.

Surprisingly good! Kudos to Hulu for this production. Kaitlyn Dever is a delight. Lots of laughs in this very cute film.

I loved this movie more than words could say. It took a classic tale that I had heard about one too many times and made it seem fresh, new, and exciting. Rosaline comedically showed Romeo and Juliet's story with a happy ending and a delightful and modern twist. The characters were real, relatable, and funny, and the story was sweet and clever. Rosaline taught great lessons about love, girl power, making peace with others and yourself, and doing what is right. As Dario, one of the characters, beautifully says, "Love is like knowing how to fly and how to breathe. When you're apart from her, you feel it in your stomach, you can taste it. And when you are together, it is impossible to believe for one single minute that anyone anywhere has ever had as much fun in the whole entire world." Overall, this movie was entertaining and a great watch, and I enjoyed every bit of the ride. I would definitely recommend it!

Not as funny as I expected.

Not to be dramatic but I made a Rotten Tomatoes account just to review this movie. I'll admit it was a little silly so you have to be a somewhat forgiving of the obvious historical implausibility, BUT it was just the right mixture of hilarious, thought-provoking, and romantic. I could write a whole essay reviewing this movie (in fact, I just did, on Google Reviews). But to keep it short: I absolutely loved it. I'm not a Romeo and Juliet fan but this retelling was just perfect. It managed to point out the absurdities of the original story in a comedic and enjoyable way while feeling like a modern romantic comedy. I think some people may not understand some references of the movie if they are in a different generation or have not read Shakespeare's play, but it is perfect for young adults who had to read Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in high school. Also, it's surprisingly family-friendly. I definitely recommend watching!!!
