Sacramento Reviews

Fun story, and being from Sacramento, it was great to see and recognize the locations. Not an award-winning movie by any stretch, but a nice way to spend 90 minutes.

Interesting. I guess.

as we go from children to adults that eventually have our own children, sometimes we don't seem to have it "all together" like everyone else seems to. this movie shows us how we may not all grow at the same pace, but we all grow eventually. I liked it.

Too many plot holes, too much angst.

Like an LA Native’s idea of what Sacramento looks like. Has some funny script moments but the two leads are just unlikable characters and the plot completely nosedives in the third act becoming completely detached from reality. It’s impossible to believe these characters act the way they do except for that they’re in a movie. If you like Michael Cera’s shtick it certainly helps but he’s just playing the same character as always and Kristen Stewart just doesn’t care and it shows. A pretty tone deaf display of men in deep committed relationships yet suffering from crippling learned helplessness.

This movie made Sacramento look like were a bunch of hillbillies. The storyline was pointless and not funny at all, almost all the dialogue was drawn out, awkward and cringe. I hated this movie. Dont waste your time and money!

It's like an outsider from the East Coast made a movie about a town they had no connection with. Sacramento is too prized to be called a movie with no pizazz. I gave it 67 rotten tomatoes. Hollywood should've given this to GRETA!

As someone from Sacramento, hoping this would be a mini tribute to this blossoming city, there was not much Sacramento in it. 95% of the scenes were clearly filmed in studios in LA with a few external shots taken while driving a car.

It was fairly ok/good. Can’t help but it reminded me of the Oscar winning film for Supporting Actor in “A Real Pain”

Funny heart felt , nothing to do with the city itself but great to see some landmarks of my hometown .

Michael Cera is so excellent--makes me laugh just looking at him--well done and creative film worth watching

Not one I would watch again. I went to see what landmarks were used in Sacramento since I have lived here for 70 years. The storyline was not compelling, and the acting was sub par. One good point is that Kristen Stewart had a very minor roll, since she is a terrible actress anyway. Michael Cera did a good job and was the redeeming quality.

Ok story. kind of funny. I live in Sacramento and watched this in a crowded theater of fellow residents. Sacramento was barely featured in this film.

Slow moving and Michael Cera is always such a downer. Well acted but watch at home.

Big disappointment! Weirdly off putting and depressing.

on par with the greatest films of all time that it makes visual references to: Superbad, Sideways, and The Big Lebowski

Walked out halfway through. Horribly written and acted, by all. I guess us Sacramento people were supposed to be swept up in the local cinematography, but it wasn’t enough to save this ridiculously stupid film. Not worth streaming.

Hilarious and heartfelt buddy comedy and a wonderful tribute to Sacramento!

A buddy film. Similar to the great out doors. Low comedy. Friendly.
