Scream Reviews
Great comeback to the franchise
I love the new characters that ghost face is stalking and how Randy's niece is now the one stating the rules to survive a horror movie.
Screaming of Jenna Ortega's 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It's gotta be hard to keep a franchise alive for almost thirty years, so I respect the attempt. But if you missed this one, you really didn't miss much.
Does just enough to get by with some nostalgia from seeing stars of the original while doing just enough (if only just) with the new ones.
Though not the strongest of the series but I actually really enjoyed it. This movie manages to breathe new life into the scream franchise with new faces, a new killer and a new story.
Honestly, I wish they let this franchise die. Don’t get me wrong, pretty solid movie, but the sequels will almost always be worse than the original. Seeing the people from the first scream movie and the final place being the same house as the first was super cool. I thought the story was decent. A lot of parts were stupid though. In my opinion, literally never mention real apps or obvious references to them. It’s so cringy and I hate it. Overall, worth a watch, but I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite.
If you are not familiar with the paintings in the series, it will not be easy to understand the film. A lot repeats itself, there is a certain implausibility, the characters are not very memorable.
Good job ghost face diddy.
Absolute snooze fest very boring and very predictable. The fifth repeat in the franchise may just be the worst repeat ever.
Um filme que dá tensão,e medo em certas cenas, trabalharam bem os vilões,no geral um filme bom.
Great movie awaome story
please let this franchise rest in peace instead of propping its lifeless corpse up in front of the camera.
A quarter of a century later, after mediocre sequels, this installment proves that our beloved Ghostface is still going strong.
I like this one yay!!
A surprisingly competent, faithful and respectful sequel. Great new cast and the old legacy cast back again with a good screenplay, solid acting and a nice solid score. Scream OG fans will be proud and so would Wes.
A very solid revival of the iconic franchise that perfectly captures almost everything that worked about the original. It satirizes movies (specifically both the "requel" trend and toxic fandom) effectively while still maintaining the horror (Ghostface is arguably the scariest here since Scream 2), it has likable characters who feel like real people, and it continues the story in a satisfying way while setting things up for the future. There are some noticeable writing issues, especially with the killers' plan and the treatment of the legacy characters, but overall this is an incredibly strong legacy sequel (or "requel") that does ALMOST everything right.
Scream 5, regardless of its title, was a solid relaunch for the franchise while poking fun at franchise Relaunches and Requels, using the original film’s title and importantly introducing standout new young characters from Barrera and Jenna Ortega in the spotlight of Sydney Prescott. The film’s outcome leaves mixed feelings for general audiences and Scream fans. However, in my opinion, with better characters in this new “Scream,” it’s a welcome return for me. Grading: B
AVOID....Terrible acting....Plot....and Horror effect....Rubbish..!
A meta slasher who-dunnit that holds up to the promise of being part of the Scream Franchise. The biggest surprise for me is how they can keep making such quality sequels. Each installment in this franchise is both great at being a solid slasher movie and a continuation of Scream.
