Secondhand Lions Reviews
Maybe I connected to this movie because my grandpa loves to garden and I always remember running through the cornfield as a kid playing hide and seek. The way the light filters through the tall stalks can be magical to a little kid… but I love how this movie makes you question what is important to believe sometimes and who you choose to believe. I also love the charming humor, the wild story flashbacks, and the whole mystery behind the two old brothers who the kid gets left with. Definitely a movie I watch whenever I want to feel like a kid again.
Amazing film with an undone story you wont see anywhere else.
An genuine feel good movie. This movie is so underrated it's criminal. If you need to have a heartwarming coming off age story look no further. You won't be disappointed. A great cast and exceptional acting will have you laughing and crying at the same time. Can not recommend this movie enough.
I love Duvall and Caine, but I am currently at the age they portray in the movie and this is unwatchable. At the 31 minute mark I am giving up. Otherwise, I will start shooting at my 온라인카지노추천 like the two cute uncles.
Heartwarming movie with great actors and nostalgia filled storyline.
Any person giving this a bad review should rewatch it until they get the true meaning of this great movie.
A wonderful heart warming film featuring great veteran actors.
This film has a warm setting for the older generation of filmmaking. It holding on to its family genre in cinema. The main issue of the film has nothing to do with the overall performance or character interaction. But more so, the tone of the film was way too thrown off in many parts. The journey of the film doesn't correlate with the overall themes of the film. It was like the story was following the arcs of the characters but none were actually a finished arc during most of the movie. I felt as if they focused too much on the story within the story. Overall the film isn't terrible but “it is nowhere near a mighty lion”
This is my favorite movie of all time. And seeing how low the critics review is shows you why Hollywood is dying. Movies like this is hard to find. Haley Robert and Michael were brilliant in this movie. This movie is about the true heart of Americans before the hippie movement. Its corny parts are very few, but endearing to the audience. It’s like it was needed for a smile. Great story telling with a 50’s feel. Never trust a rotten tomato critic always trust the audience.
This is a fun and heartwarming story.
This is a movie for everyone. With lessons of coming of age, betrayal, to dealing with loss, Second Hand Lions, shows us fragility and valiant strength through different lenses of loneliness. It shows how the value of our time together is more priceless than a sultan's treasure.
This is one of the greatest movies of all time and so much better than most of the trash produced today! Imagine being so miserable that you can't see the beauty of the storytelling and acting in this movie. Amazing!
This movie has everything. Romance, action, humor, a good story it has it all I have watched this movie recently and still love it to this day. I thought it was just nostalgia, but I have recently been watching a lot of my childhood movies with my family and many of them are so bad but this one is a keeper! Watch it!
The film was boring, forced, poorly written, and pretentious, and Osment's acting was distressingly bad.
Silly, fun, and serious. Blends the ridiculous with the true, in an entertaining and light-hearted story that's part "coming of age" and part reminder of what's good in the world.
Just a great ole classic funny feel good movie. Straightforward story line with plenty of heart tuggers within. Good to watch with family, friends or solo. If you're not smiling in the end, there's something wrong.
The whole movie did not make sense.
Great wholesome movie with wonderful characters and life lessons. One of my favorite movies to watch - it has it all!
I watched this on DVD recently. It's not terrible, but all the way through it didn't quite hit the spot for me. My interest kept waning, my attention drifting around the story, and it mostly happened when Garth and Hub were telling their tall tales from their past lives. One of the reviews uses the word schmaltzy, which when I looked it up, sums up this movie perfectly. The contemporary stuff is fine and works well with good performances delivered in mostly well lit daytime settings. It the reminiscing and sentimentality which spoils it for me.
Wonderful story. A reminder that's there's wisdom to be had from the elderly. A comedy with a not so comedic message.
