See for Me Reviews
The Premise has a few absurdities. No one would hire a blind cat sitter.
A little hard to believe that a blind girl killed 4 men??? Entertaining anyway.
It's very interesting, can be a bit boring but when you pay attention it's nice.
The film is passable but jaŕringly stupid.
A blind young woman is hired to house-sit for a wealthy woman. Isolated in a sumptuous mansion, she is forced to deal with three thieves who invade the property looking for a hidden safe. The woman relies on an app that allows a remote worker to become her eyes and potentially save her. "See For Me" is a home-invasion thriller with an interesting premise but unsatisfying execution. The movie incorporates elements of social media, a recent trend in cinema.
Who would hire such an awful person to watch their home? I couldn’t watch more than 3 min of this because she is so unlikable, and not in a cool way. Even the Penguin is more likable than this girl. Back to watching something genuine.
Audience rating is closer to the truth. It is a solid B movie, with some laugh out loud parts and not in the good way. Nothing more.
This was a pretty good movie! It definitely keeps your interest. It's a bit unrealistic lol but still a good one either way.
Every 5 minutes, the protagonist should be dead but to make her survive, the bad guys have to be brain dead. Protagonist continues to shout to her phone, with the phone equally shouting back on loudspeaker in sneak moments that require you to be quite and the thugs....don't hear her. Sure. Description mentions Army veteran. What makes them army veteran? Ah, they say they are at the end of the movie in 5 seconds. Sure. So many more details I could talk about but simply put, laughable. Good comedy. Any ratings above 2 are highly likely bots.
I have never watched a movie with such an unlikeable main character. Was cringing every 5 minutes & praying on her downfall. Save yourself 90 minutes and watch Hush instead.
Not bad but almost teen like approach. The main carachter is almost wholly unlikeable, and the tension stakes are pretty weak. Just OK.
Another home invasion blind person survival movie with an illogical plot full of holes, I have no sympathy for the protagonist for she's a crook as well.
lots of flaws no reason for them
Well, there have been quite a lot of movies about a blind person confronting robbers, etc., but this flick surely belongs to the top three (though there are 2 illogical goof-ups which could have easily be avoided). Quite tense for most of the time and with mostly absolutely logical and correct assumptions of blind people's lives and their situations. Very well scripted and decently directed. 8/10 points.
So original and scary!
Seemed like kind of a ripoff of Hush (where a deaf lady fights off home invaders) and In the Dark (where the main character is an extremely rude, sarcastic blind woman). The plot was very predictable, and the protagonist's acting…left something to be desired. That said, it was still an entertaining watch, and the ending was cute. I wouldn't watch it again by any means, but it didn't feel like a total waste of time.
Laughably terrible all around. Completely incoherent and unrealistic plot. All human interactions are not believable and every character is simply brain dead. The protagonist is extremely difficult to root for due to the lead actress being beyond abysmal in this role. Same goes for the rest of the cast. Don’t listen to these fake reviews and save yourself 2 hours of your life. You’re better off watching “Hush” or even “Home Alone” for the 20th time if you’re in a mood for a home invasion movie.
Felt almost NO empathy for Debra! At certain points I was hoping SHE would bite the big one. Totally self-absorbed and entitled. Some scenes were far too dragged out and others far too predictable. My review needs one word only: meh!
SEE FOR ME is a home invasion thriller. It's fairly straight forward, and given it's obviously low budget, without frills. Doesn't sound very promising, does it? Well, let me tell you, the film is a brisk 92 minutes, and I'd say that all but the first 15 minutes will have you pretty much on the edge of your seat. There are several reasons for this. Yes, it's a home invasion story that we've heard before. Young lady alone in a remote house. Some bad guys break-in, not knowing she's there. The crime they are committing is potentially serious enough that if our protagonist is discovered, they are unlikely to just cut their losses and leave. They will "get rid of any loose ends." Those kinds of movies, if done well, can be exciting still, but they do feel familiar. But, what if the heroine is blind? In this case, Sophie is a competitive skier who lost her vision a few years ago. And Sophie is played by Skyler Davenport who is an actor who also lost their vision a few years ago! This immediately makes the movie more interesting. Even if you don't know the actor is blind, having the main character be blind is a nice twist; although, you experience movie-goers will say, wasn't WAIT UNTIL DARK the original blind protagonist home invasion classic? Yes, that's true, but in this case, technology plays a huge part in the events of the story (I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say much of the film comes down to very quick, sharp thinking from Kelly (Jessica Parker Kennedy), a young lady who never even spends time at the house...intrigued? I hope so. Kelly is a funny, smart and crafty character that was also quite interesting and different.) And our heroine is not some young innocent. She's got some skeletons in her own closet and they come out in surprising ways and really mess with the home invaders. Director Randall Okita, helming what appears to be only his second feature length film, already understands that one way to downplay cliché and the "we've-seen-this-before" material is to plow right through it with no shame but a brisk pace and good performances. We can sort it out later; we're often left too breathless at the flow of events to ponder them. And, yes, this film does have a few moments where you yell at the screen at how dumb someone is being; but in retrospect, those moments were few and well out-numbered by moments when you have to admire the two women. I was pretty gripped by this film throughout. The technical aspects, while not showy, certainly outdo any budget limitations. The acting was overall solid. And the pace was brisk...the 90 minutes went by quite quickly. Playing in just a few venues around the country, I caught it on Amazon for a modest rental price. I certainly recommend tracking it down and watching it one evening with the lights turned down. It's good, clean fun!
I wasn't as thrilled with this thriller as everyone else. Nothing here was rare. Nothing here seemed interesting. It pretty much seemed like every other average or below average thriller, yeah there was one slight twist but even that wasn't that interesting. Maybe all those glowing reviews have never seen a good thriller before? I lost interest but watched it til the end anyway, just in case. But the end was predictable-I guess saying that is a spoiler almost. Really if there's something that looks better, watch it instead of this.
