Sherlock Gnomes Reviews
Anche se inferiore rispetto al primo, resta comunque un bel film da guardare
I have no clue why this movie was made. The plot is bonkers, the characters are less lovable, and it feels like one big fever dream, but in a bad way.
Sherlock Gnomes one of the "kind-of-average" films of 2018, not compared to Disney's Ralph Breaks The Internet. Kids will find this movie interesting; adults will find it boring. The plot is not enough of its detail, one of the main characters is desperate about getting his wife's attention, another character is kind of rude. It would be best to take your kid to see an appropriate kids movie rather than this.
I don't know about you, but I found this movie quite entertaining.
I would of enjoyed this more as a kid but I still don't think it was a bad movie decent voice acting and plot
Bad, At Least Moriarty Exists
Gnomeo & Juliet is the definition of a movie that didn’t need a sequel. i may have liked the first movie but i did not care to watch Sherlock Holmes gnomes for 86 minutes. the songs were good though, i’ll give it that.
It was an epic experience, but i really hoped that Sherlock and Watson would passionately make out at the end of this epic movie. I'm definitely going to recommend this piece of art to my friends and family and probably buy a gnome to my garden.
This movie was a horrible sequel to a wonderful movie that I enjoyed as a kid . This movie was utterly disappointing.
#MovieReview #SherlockGnomes 🌟 🌟 🌟 The movie was cute as it could be. I was upset with the lack of creative aspect. Juliet and Gnomeo had a good role but felt like side characters. The bad guy Mortey was my favorite ever ..... So thats my favorite.
Okay, hear me out. I get it. I've been there. I see a sequel of a random and honestly forgettable kids film and I feel my blood boil from seeing good U.S. dollars being virtually burnt for a film with no creativity or plot direction. But Sherlock Gnomes (2018) is different. This film has everything- romance, suspense, and a mystery to solve. The villain was amazing and soooo girly pop I could absolutely not take my eyes off the screen. So initially when the film started I thought that Juliet was a total B-word; It made sense that she spent all her time in the garden with trees because she had a total stick up her a**. But what makes Sherlock Gnomes such a good sequel is the character development- Juliet is able to pull that stick out and save her relationship. Gnomeo barley has any screen time/ plot relevance but he is a king and we love him. Now, onto the subject of Sherlock. He was phenomenal 😍😍😍. He really learned to show respect for others which was great to see, he is so silly to watch and I love how shiny and kickable he looked. By kickable I mean he looks like I could just give him a lil kick and feel so much joy 😚. I love his tiny soul patch. Peak character design, the animators knew what they were doing. But this gnome is more than just a body, he also has brains that he uses for super funny shenanigans like saving gnomes. He is accompanied by the Watson Gnome, and I honestly feel so sad for Watson. His character is the equivalent of a cold wet saltine. [SPOILER WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️] when he is being psychoanalyzed by Moriarty (the main villain, an evil pie), the second hand embarrassment was REAL. That man (or should I say gnome) looked like a complete idiot. I wanted to give him a hug :( and maybe he should not have mass kidnapped hundreds of garden gnomes but Sherlock was being self-centered and hyper focusing on his enemy :((. anyway back to the review. Uhhh yea the top critics didn't like it because they hate fun its 5/5 stars for people who love fun :)) ✨✨
It may share its funny moments but it never happens enough
Oh Dear, The Movie failed? Oh well, the movie is not a Successful, it's a failure, This is the Worst Animated Rip-off of Pixar's "Toy Story" & DreamWorks "Over the Hedge".
Well, it's a movie, while the plot isn't confusing and is quite good, it just feels boring most of the time
LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 26 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awful characters, awful jokes, awful plot twists, overall by the end you want all of these characters smashed.
Sherlock Gnomes fells like an regenerated version of Gnomeo and Juliet, but mainly focuses on entertaining.
Thoroughly mediocre. Has its fun moments, has its bad ones. Sherlock Gnomes and Watson have a certain charm to them that makes up for Gnomeo and Juliet's lack of such. You certainly feel bad for Gnomeo during his altercations with Juliet, though only on a superficial level. It's a tried and true method; lover's quarrel that splits them apart, their relationship paralleled in their unlikely comrades through the movie, they get separated only to be reunited close to the climax with a renewed love for one another, with their newfound friends doing the same. I shan't spoil anything, but this movie is predictable in its story with its twist (which, if you pay not so close attention, you will see coming a mile away) with a few cheap "laughs" (toilet humour, teasing swears, the like), but, as the rating implies, it passed the time. It does have a few points knocked off for the weird humanoid gnome/frog gnome relationship, though. So, if you're looking for something that leaves little lasting impression, doesn't change your view of the world or leave you with any moral lessons, but will whittle away any extra hour-and-a-halfs you may have, and give your mind a less challenging time, then this is the film for you! Some fun little factoids from the film; the waving cats all, presumably, list their prices (the little golden ones say "fifty yuan" (currency) and the little red ones say "one hundred yuan"), and the art museum Sherlock attends is named after the art director (Karen DeJong)
This review contains spoilers. Apparently I have the radar when it comes to animated films that are considered "bad": I'm always curious to know if the films in question are really bad or hide hidden qualities. For the most part, the movies were better not to see and maybe I would have saved some of my life, while in others there is actually something. Sherlok Gnomes, sequel to Gnomeo and Juliet (which I haven't seen for the record) was a very special case. Now, to say that Sherlock Gnomes is a good movie would be absolutely false: the idea itself of gnomes coming to life reminds me too much of Toy Story, in which the relationship between human and toy is essential. Here, however, people are simply extras, in which faces are not even framed to save on character design. Speaking of the plot itself, the story is all too predictable, with no twists that could not be guessed, but I must admit that it is not the most cliched story I have ever seen and that a little something original can be found. Little, true, but still something. Moving on to the comedy sector, the film is absolutely not funny and I must say that I have never even hinted at a half smile. The characters for the most part do not shine with originality, but there are some personalities, such as the protagonist Sherlock and the two shoulders of Watson, who have genuinely interested me. Speaking of the Italian dubbing (I'm Italian if you don't understand the name) the dubbers have all had too strong an accent, so much so that in some scenes it was not clear what they were saying. The most successful aspect of the film? Definitely the animations, which are really good and detailed. The 2D scenes in Sherlock's head are great. One aspect that I find quite underestimated are the action scenes, intense and able to keep the rest of the story from falling asleep. I'm sure the film was never going to be good, but I have to admit that I expected worse: despite a predictable story, an uninspired concept and mostly one-dimensional characters, the film also manages to bring out great animation, great action scenes. and a protagonist to be interested in. Sherlock Gnomes, in short, surprised me by not being a complete disaster.
