A true family film with a great message.

An incredible true story - against all the odds, from communism to medical breakthrough - this eye surgeon changes lives and at the same time his eyes are opened by one of his patients. A must see feel good movie.

After the first scene I almost turned it off. There should be a warning on movies that portray child abuse. My mama heart can’t handle it. I forced myself to keep watching in hopes I’d feel better seeing the rest the movie. It does have a great message and the acting is great. But it is heavy all the way through! So much sadness. It’s a true story so of course that can’t be changed but just fair warning what you’re getting yourself into.

I'm Blind, I find this movie title offensive.

Have a box of tissues nearby. Especially at the end. It's very touching and inspiring. It's an interesting story no doubt.

I like the movie Sight because it is based on real events and it also transmits values and principles that are not seen in most of the movies nowadays. It is a story of perseverance, love and hope that shows that to achieve something really worthwhile and transcendental is necessary to strive to achieve any goal in life and that we are responsible for our destiny, and that despite what has happened to us in life there is still hope, especially when we seek to selflessly help others. In addition, Sight shows that things are achieved by merit not by the color of the skin and that we must fight to achieve our dreams and that we should not expect everything easy and without any cost, because if the worthwhile things were done easily anyone would do them. It is more rewarding, more enjoyable and more valuable to achieve something that has cost one.

Was an inspiring story dealing with an interesting period of PRC history. Since my mother immigrated to the United States on a student visa under similar circumstances in 1948 the story felt very personal and real. As a practicing Optometrists, the medical technical portion felt a little contrived, but I have used the "amniotic" contact lens on patients and appreciate its healing properties. Dr. Wang's passion and devotion to others is admirable and worthy of recognition.

I enjoyed it. Doesn't hit you over the head with the faith angle, but it's there. Shows how people suffered during the Cultural Revolution, many of us westerners don't know about it.

Decent movie. Lots of motifs that effectively engage the viewer, such as the acid being poured into one of the patients’ eyes. Interesting backstory behind Dr. Ming Wang’s career and journey becoming a doctor.

I found this story very inspiring. Realizing it was based on a true story I was impressed how Dr Wang overcame so many challenges and did not give up. He used his God given talent to help many thousands of people. The movie wove the past and present together and showed how both worked to make the doctor into the man he is today.

One of the BEST movies I've seen. I'm not one to watch a movie more than once but I would watch this again and again and again. Inspiring life and work and a beautiful man.

True Story Demonstrated Faith in God Dedication Perseverance

Very good movie and inspiring! A very smart eye surgeon with big heart to help blind people all over world. He is the role model for us with determination to be successful. Overcome the past and encourage himself to do well in the present. The growing part of Dr. Ming Wang is kind of hard to understand if audience doesnt know culture revolution.

Amazing. As an Asian-American it was amazing to see other Asian-American actors on screen. As for the movie, I loved the story. I couldn’t believe that it was based off a true story. It’s extremely heartfelt, a movie about struggle and pushing yourself no matter the circumstances. If you want to see a story with an inspiring message like that, this one is the one to watch. Dr. Ming, the main character, holds the movie in place as a strong foundation.

Such a great movie. Powerful story and skits. Fabulous work from the whole production team. Touching and at the same time humorous acting skills. An important story and life of Dr.Ming Wang and the Chinese history of 1970s-1980s lost of education opportunities’s effect on people’s dream. Definitely recommended!

I was genuinely suprise of how good this movie going into it not knowing much about it, the acting and dialogues is really well made, and the character emotional journey was really believable and it hit hards and resonate with me as a immigrant that came from Hong kong 7 years ago
