Six Days, Seven Nights is an easygoing adventure rom-com that benefits from its tropical setting, solid production, and the natural charm of Harrison Ford and Anne Heche. Their chemistry keeps things entertaining, and the film has a breezy, energetic feel that makes it watchable. The cinematography captures the island beautifully, and the music complements the lighthearted tone. It is the kind of movie that is easy to sit through, with enough fun moments to keep it from feeling dull. The biggest drawback is the predictability of the story. The plot follows a formula so closely that there is little room for surprises or creativity. Comedy and serious moments don’t always blend well, making some scenes feel unintentionally awkward. It never fully commits to being an adventure, romance, or comedy, which leaves it feeling a bit weightless. That said, if you go in just looking for a simple, visually appealing adventure with likable leads, it does the job well enough.

As much as I appreciate what Harrison Ford was trying to salvage within Six Days, Seven Nights, this was not one of his best performances. The film ended up in a rather disappointing and bland with poorly written characters that shared little or no chemistry and a plot that is nonsensical.

Adventurous love story.

This wasn't very good. It certainly wasn't worthy of Harrison Ford. Also, all the characters seem like absolutely terrible people. Disappointing.

Back when Heche was kinda cute and Ford was a rugged co-lead that steals her heart when they crash land. The late 80s Indiana Jones feel included Schwimmer.

Despite the poor reviews, I found it an enjoyable romp - the purpose of a film should be to entertain and for my sins, I found it entertaining. No messages just a bit of fun delivered by a bunch of actors who knew their job.

Brilliant and funny, love the two leads, a great film

Esta película es un Feel Good Movie en toda la extensión de la palabra, a pesar de su simpleza narrativa el humor tan distinguido del gran Ivan Reitman hace que esta película gracias a su originalidad sea una de esas películas de la que será difícil que salgas decepcionado o aburrido, el hombre que trajo los cazafantasmas a través del humor y de la personalidad tan carismática de los protagonistas regala una película de amor tan surreal con la que de alguna razón se siente muy personal. La trama se basa en cómo Robin y Quinn quedan atrapados en una isla en dónde a pesar de todas sus diferencias, tendrán que congeniar si quieren salir de ahí con vida, dónde me parece que el mensaje está en que a pesar de todas las diferencias que podrías tener con otra persona si convivieras o escucharas su visión del mundo posiblemente te darías cuenta que en el interior no son tan diferentes cómo podría parecer desde la superficialidad. Dónde Robin se quita los prejuicios que tiene hacia Quinn para darse cuenta que en el interior no son tan diferentes y que todas las diferencias que tienen son lo que los complementa entre sí, dándose cuenta que tal vez el verdadero amor esta en conocer a una persona con una perspectiva totalmente diferente a la tuya dónde si buscas empatizar por el cómo ve el mundo podías aprender una gran lección. La trama referencia a todos los clichés que las películas románticas tienen, pero llevado a un singular entorno cómo podría ser una pareja dispareja atrapada en medio de una isla inhabitada, dónde a través de las diferencias que tienen entre si formarán un gran equipo para salir de la isla, a pesar de tener estilos de vida totalmente diferentes el estar obligados a permanecer juntos los hará reflexionar sobre qué es lo quieren en su vida, a alguien igual que ellos que comparta los mismos intereses o alguien totalmente diferente que los haga experimentar cosas nuevas, sintiéndose atraídos curiosamente por las cosas que son totalmente opuestas a su personalidad. Esta trama a pesar de su simpleza los componentes que la unen hacen que sea difícil no involucrarte con los personajes, a pesar de la película no tomarse enserio logran que te interesen los personajes y que genuinamente te preocupe lo que los pase, dónde gracias a la originalidad y a su construcción narrativa tan circular hacen de esta una experiencia placentera. Lo que no me gustó de la película está en cómo terminan juntos al final. Si, vuelve a esta película muy auto conclusiva en su final, pero me parece que faltaron más escenas en las que pudiéramos darnos cuenta que si son el uno por el otro y que a pesar de sus diferencias tan marcadas no son obstáculo para el verdadero amor, si, el final es muy romántico, el cómo Quinn llega desde un helicóptero al aeropuerto para alcanzar a Robin antes de que se suba al avión para descubrir que ella había pensado igualmente que debían estar juntos, si, es un muy buen final, que aunque veíamos venir a kilómetros de distancia siempre será un final que funciona, aunque sí me parece que faltaron no más de 10 minutos en los que viéramos más de ellos interactuar, dónde la película es algo ambigua en eso. Six Days, Seven Nights es una carta de amor al amor verdadero y una remembranza de que el mismo puede salir de cualquier lugar o de cualquier persona de la cuál tal vez hemos estado pasando por alto. La película tiene una historia hermosa dónde a través de situaciones y chistes muy bien construidos te brindan una trama con la que te cambiará el estado anímico, esta película tiene el poder de hacerlo, no tendrá una trama única y diferente, pero gracias a tanto el carisma de los protagonistas cómo del guion en si regalan una experiencia súper reconfortante. El montaje de la película es muy bueno, la película es dinámica y desde el primer minuto es expositiva y va directo al punto, siempre está pasando algo con el que poco a poco te están soltando pequeños trozos de información que serán importantes en el desarrollo de la trama. La dirección es concisa y toma cómo protagonista a la isla en sí, con planos aéreos que dan espacialidad al entorno para que el espectador se pueda sentir dentro de la isla. Harrison Ford y Anne Hecher son indudablemente el motor de la película, no ves a otros actores que hubieran podido llenar sus zapatos con su gran carisma, ellos son los que sostienen a la trama y son los responsables de que empaticemos con esta historia, dónde todo el elenco me pareció dentro del mood que la película necesitaba para funcionar, David Schwimmer está muy bien, es el esposo que conscientemente busca y se cree perfecto aunque en momentos de debilidad pueda sucumbir, hasta Temuera Morrison está muy bien, es el estereotipado villano que la película necesita para cambiar de tropo en el 2 acto y aumentar la tensión en los protagonistas. Six Days, Seven Nights, es una película que tiene cómo motor el corazón, es una película que en su sencillez tiene un mensaje de aceptación muy importante que gracias a la carisma de los protagonistas la película se vuelve placentera de ver, donde gracias a su misma originalidad esta película es un clásico.

25 years old and remains one of my favorite grown up movies starring Harrison Ford and the late Anne Heche I found out this was directed by Ivan Reitman of all things Robin is a magazine editor in the Big Apple and she has a fiancé played by David Schwimmer They both celebrate their anniversary going to Makatea to make it official A pilot named Quinn and his co-pilot Angelica fly them to their destination But Robin gets a business call from her boss asking to go to a neighboring island so she has to leave her fiancé and ask Quinn to fly there Unfortunately a storm hits unexpectedly and their plane crash lands on an unknown island so they are stranded with no way out Robin and Quinn have to learn to get along if they are to survive The film is a wonderful distraction that's for sure; breathtaking scenery, lovely chemistry between the two leads, and some playful banter It almost feels like you are with them in this exotic part of the world Schwimmer has a thankless role but he's likable enough and omg, Jacqueline Obradors as Angelica is a bombshell! Heche is wonderful as a woman appreciating things that aren't planned or organized all the time, maybe she prefers to be messy and complicated Ford is terrific, too being someone who can't stay in one place but maybe can learn to stick his feet eventually Both of them have nice sexual tension and chemistry This ended up getting mixed reception from critics for the script's predictability but still became a box office hit Sometimes the best vacations are the ones we don't plan to take One of my favorites to this day

This movie is a RIOTOUS comedy!!! I loved it the first time and love it even more now! All 4 of us agree! Treat yourself to an old fashioned Sarcastic and hilarious comedy with a cute plot and good acting!!!! Don't believe the critics or audience score!

This tropical comedy doesn't really manage to be funny, but is enjoyable throughout. It often feels like Ford was phoning it in, but his bad boy character is as lovable as ever. The B-plot could've been a bit more developed and the survivalist part of the story could've been a bit less video-gamey, but overall it's a solid and positive little romp.

This is probably the worst romantic comedies I have ever seen. The plot is all over the place and not a single character is even remotely likeable. Shout out to David Schwimmer's character who very well could be the whiniest and most annoying character I have seen on screen in recent memory.

Fun and romantic drama perfect for your holiday getaway...

I saw this when it first came out in 1998 and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I just watched it in 2022, for her a first time. We both liked it a lot. It's hilarious, adventurous, suspenseful, and has good romance.

We absolutely love this movie! It has adventure and action, along with a healthy dose of comedy. Beautiful scenery and a gorgeous soundtrack—even have the CD. I'm not sure why this doesn't get higher reviews than I've seen because it is well-acted and well-written. David Schwimmer is a hoot! Anne Heche and Harrison Ford play off each other well, and the shipwreck scenes with them are very funny. We watch this several times a year!

Probably the most predictable and over the top Harrison Ford movie you will ever see.

I can't believe how poor the rating is on this movie. We found it very entertaining. After we saw it we recommended it for a couples night, they liked it too. It is just fun, fast paced, and entertaining.

Funny, enjoyable film. Would watch it again.
