It was too corny, over acting, clever, funny, I enjoyed watching.

The most surprising thing to me is that I watched it all .... and enjoyed it. Yes it is absolute nonsense, especially the dancing but cleverly builds an instant dislike of the main characters co-workers that draws you into their impending demise.

Doesn’t take itself too seriously and it also doesn’t overstay its welcome with its 77 minute runtime. If you’re looking for a horror comedy with a surprising amount of blood, there’s way worse you can do.

The only redeeming thing was the effects. A message about child labour with a 13 year old who fell into a grinder, who wants revenge because... She fell by her own fault? Kids in the US can do farm work at 12. If you're going to go that route, make them 6 or something.

Plot line makes no sense. The comedy doesn't really land. Could have been better.

The only film I've seen about killer pants, hope they make a sequel shorts the revenge. Seriously it's alright high production quality.

Yep, you read that right; fun! This eccentric horror comedy shines a light on capitalism's dark corners and the harsh treatment of laborers. SLAXX has a unique origin story and timely themes. The film's themes manage to be in your face but in such a way that you can still enjoy the movie without being bogged down. I think I enjoyed this more than most, and I'll be honest, it has some issues, but as a whole, you get exactly what you think you should, with a bit of thought-provoking commentary mixed in. The film plunges viewers into a shopping mall and a group of stereotypical employees that covers the gauntlet of what you'd experience in a real mall. While a horror movie at heart, there is enough fun and dark comedy mixed in that makes the film a real mix of the two. The horror isn't perfect, and neither is the comedy, but together they're a fun ride that delivers. On a more serious note, the film tackles the exploitation of developing nations by wealthier countries, but that narrative is just part of the experience. There is no hiding the message the filmmakers wanted to share, and ultimately that's okay. I read a few other reviews that got angry about a horror film trying to have a message to it, and I can only assume those people would be on the wrong side of this story. SLAXX boasts some well-done special effects for most of the film, with only a few scenes sticking out. While some characters are incessantly annoying, I think they play their roles perfectly. If you doubt that, visit some high-end clothing stores in the mall and then return and let me know how you feel. Romane Denis, as Libby, is the standout performance as the movie's most relatable character. She defines the modern generation of employees and how they look at a retail job. In comparison, she isn't "crazy" like most cast members; her relatability to Gen Z shines. While some similarities exist to other films regarding "haunted" items killing, the rest is a fun self-contained experience. Clocking in at about 80 minutes, it's an easy watch for any horror fan. At the heart of SLAXX lies its social commentary, with writers Patricia Gomez and Elza Kephart addressing the exploitation of workers in developing countries and the hypocrisy embedded in the fashion world. In summary, SLAXX is fun yet, at times, an uneven movie showcasing creativity and amusement. When push comes to shove, the film delivers exactly what you want from it. If you watch the trailer and are expecting anything different, I think that's on you. Despite the few shortcomings, SLAXX remains an intriguing watch for fans of offbeat horror comedies and serves as a conversation starter about the darker aspects of the fashion industry. You are gonna like it if you are into b-movies, if you don't get the genre you are gonna hate it.

Entertaining, gory and well paced, this film deviates from standard expectations and delivers a weird yet satisfying experience about pairs of killer jeans.

It's terrific original. Very entertaining and much better than I had anticipated.

You will get your ration of corporate assholes with their company slogans. It is over the top, but it still but it feels embarassing like your ordinary company all hands or CEO video message. Characters are meh. I don't think I will remember anybody except store manager guy tomorrow. Some scenes have decent gore, but most haven't because of cheap CGI. It suprised me in one way - I expected this movie to have more budgety camera and sound.

Must say I'm pleasantly surprised at how much fun this is. Ridiculous premise that ends up working quite well.

I was actually expecting worse but if you go into it wanting to have a good time (and if you read the logline you know what you're getting yourself into) then you'll have a great time watching this with friends! We had a blast and thought this movie was amazing.

This "film" has possibly the dumbest "plot" in the history film. The only reason it's rated high by critics is because it contains THE MESSAGE. You won't miss it because they constantly beat you over the head with it. Camera work, editing and acting are all passable to good. However sacrificing any sort of competent writing to push an agenda kills this "film" dead.

Goofy and kinda fun, but utterly mediocre. "Rubber" is a kind of perfect comparison, where I'm glad that someone made a bizarro horror, but the "critical freshness" of this flick is very misleading.

Original: yes. Fun to watch: no. And way too moralizing in my opinion.
