My sister and me saw this movie when it came out at the theater. We have completely different tastes when it comes to comedy but we both laughed our butts off to this one. To this day it is in my top three favorites of my all time movies.

A Comedy Action Classic. Like Home Alone, on paper this movie shouldn't work. The plot is paper thin, the characters don't have any depth really, and it's just very mindless at times. Besides the editing which is half decent, everything else is really well done honestly. The direction is good enough. The music is amazing and the title is just one of the best title tracks for a film all time. Burt Reynolds has never been more charismatic than in this and just commands the screen with his charm and charisma in every scene. Sally Field is great too and has really good chemistry with Reynolds. It's laways fun watching the two of them troll each other and go from one antic to the next. Gleason is really great too as the villian and is having a blast. That really is the secret here. It's just a lot of fun and has lots of charm, some good laughs and really cool action scenes. The stunts are really good. Your either laughing, being charmed by Reynolds, or watching awesome chases. It's one of those rare exceptions where it just works so well and it shouldn't. Truly capturing lighting in a bottle. Anyone who is a fan ofany actors in this, comedies, action flicks, or the director should check this out.

My favorite movie of Burt Reynolds.. it was the reason I bought one of those Firebirds!

Smokey and the Bandit is one of my favorite Movies of all time, This film will never gets old I’ve watched this film million times already it just that good.

Went into it with low expectations, came out surprised. Similar to "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry", I really enjoyed the car scenes a lot. So much drifting, skirting, and smoke. It's all just so cool, and Gleason as Buford was a great pick. I mostly remember him from "The Honeymooners" so I am not used to hearing him talk that way, but when he did I couldn't help but laugh because I'm always imagining Ralph. 4/5 stars, good movie.

A hokey comedy that deals with a man traveling along the south to make some big bucks and along the way he picks up a runaway bride, a terrible sheriff, and his dimwitted son......a pleasant surprise of a film to watch.

Loved seeing it on the big screen

This is one of the best movies of all time, its got action, drama and even a love seen for the ladies. It is a must see and id consider it one of my favorite films.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I reference it all the time! It's funny and fun to watch.

20% rating ... Not much under the hood of this rather dull storyline & simple characters.

Only for Burt fans. If you're a Burt fan, you have my sympathy.

Anything from the greatest year ever(1977) is awesome(including me)! Sally Field and Burt Reynolds are excellent in this film! Jerry Reed did great soundtrack and acting as well! "East Bound And Down" is SO iconic! I love it to this DAY!!

Smokey and the Bandit was a perfectly mediocre comedy. Not entirely bad but not quite hilarious. Interesting characters, though.
