Snack Shack Reviews
One of the best movies I've seen in the last years. I found it somewhere totally randomly but it surprised me dearly. The camera work and coloring was spectacular, it had a similar mood if it was directed by Tarantino. The movie perfectly showed how the 90's looked in America through the summer, I guess. I saw in Hungarian dubbing, which maybe gave it a little flavor since Hungarians always manage to create a spectacular dubbing. Anyways I recommended this movie to every friend.
I was disappointed, the trailer made it look like a lot more fun than it was. I felt like most of the movie didn't really need to happen and there wasn't much of an actual plot for 90% of the runtime. Acting was alright and camera stuff was whatever
Snack Shack is a fun and nostalgic coming-of-age comedy filled with humor, charm, and summer adventure. The characters have great chemistry, making their journey both entertaining and heartfelt. With a unique setting, witty dialogue, and a perfect mix of laughs and meaningful moments, it’s a feel-good film that’s definitely worth watching!
90s coming of age slash buddy comedy that ends up turning heartfelt. Well directed, but the story fell short. I think casting 24 and 28 year olds to play 14 year olds really took away from the potential innocence of the experiences they two boys were having. Not bad, and entertaining enough
Grab a home brew, grill up a f*ckdog, and settle in for a witty, silly, poignant movie set in a time before the internet and smart phones.
Wow this was much better than I expected after looking at the pictured advertising lol. Very 90’s nostalgia dramedy throwback. I’m also finding movies much more fun that are set without everyone being glued to their phones and just experiencing life without all the tech aspects. Great performances and a simple friendship-coming-of-age story we can all identify with in one way or another. I’ll definitely re-visit this one again.
E colocam toda as economias neste empreendimento. Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 6
Great cast - Fun movie they mix decades a bit in terms of lingo as it is more 2005- 2015 than 1991’ but it still works and gets the overall vibe of growing up in the Midwest back in the day very well! Bravo 👏🏻
SNACK SHACK is an excellent coming-of-age dramedy that masterfully captures the feeling of a certain kind of American teenage summer, with all its epic possibility, stifling boredom, and everything between. The film's period fidelity and notable detail appears near-perfect without shading into overt nostalgia, and serves as an absorbing canvas for these engaging young characters and their unfolding journeys.
Heard it was good, ended up being great. Charming, fun and nostalgic story of friendship.
wasn’t as freaky as anticipated but comedic value was unfortunately there. freaky as saltburn? the freakometer says no but more digestible movie fs
This movie warmed and broke my heart all in the span of 1 hr 50 minutes. I loved all of the cast. A lot of the scenes felt very real and portrayed what they were meant to. It gave me a lot of nostalgia and took me back to a simpler time. Very sweet and cute movie.
Loved the movie hated the ending.
Fun flick about summer fun, life and love. Set in the 90's, but it's easily relatable to any decade. Solid acting throughout. Watched mainly from word of mouth. Glad I caught wind of it.
Absolutely amazing best coming of age movie since the likes of dazed and confused, breakfast club and superbad
I'm a sucker for a good coming of age film, and the nostalgia, emotion, and comedy were all strong with this one. 10/10
Full of energy and a classic summertime hang movie, its been done better before but it is a perfect structure for a movie.
This was a pleasantly surprising movie full of 90s nostalgia. Very entertaining.
Great movie! Awesome plot, funny, cute, has a bit of a coming of age film. The main characters are a little unbelievable but once you get over that you get a heartfelt movie that makes you feel a part of the gang.
Awesome movie. They don’t make movies like this anymore. Great coming of age movie.
