Something from Tiffany's Reviews
A little late to watch Christmas movies, but glad I saw this one. Although it never claims to be a great movie - after all, it is a Christmas romance movie - it has good acting. Although it seems rushed at the end, it has a good pace overall. It is light, fun and has a well-balanced dose of comedy, drama and romance.
Cute Rom Dram. Strays a little too much into the drama category to be called a Rom Com but the lead actors deliver some authentic sentimental moments reminiscent in pacing, tone and location to Sleepless in Seattle. It doesn't quite hit the romance of that film, which was itself a nostalgic revival of a vintage film but it has its moments and the best friend character and young Daisy enliven it as a whole, so it's worth a watch.
The vast majority of holiday movies are to be avoided unless you enjoy tooth extraction. Happily, Something from Tiffany's is the opposite of the average fare. Chemistry among excellent actors, sharp dialogue, good plot make this exceptional holiday viewing. If you want a movie to lift your spirits and make you laugh this is a great choice.
So surprised this was rated so low! Its now my one of my favorite Christmas romcoms. It was done really well
There is hardly anything enjoyable about this movie. Unlikable characters, terrible acting, insanely unrealistic plot. It gave me physical pain, Christmas romcoms are supposed to be cozy and giggly but this is anything but. Also, how can he be a writer when his most elaborate sentence is "Uh cool." Had to stop watching on 1:05:00 mark. Surprised I even got this far.
I'm 3 minutes in and had to turn it off because it's so bad. If you want to see the worst acting known to man, watch Zoey Deutch do a parody of Disney child acting in her first three lines in this film. I'm embarrassed for her. The directing is awkward and corny at best. Also, can female-lead production companies like Hello Sunshine stop making terrible stuff like this? It hurts talented other female filmmakers who want to get projects made. It's easy for men to "See? This is what women like to make". I have no problem with the genre, just the execution. Hire a female director next time. Reese Witherspoon only claims feminism when it's helping her and her friends. Otherwise, she'll just hire men.
A very simple romance movie.
Endearing characters and a quick watch make a basic love story an enjoyable escape.
Fun . Ha . If I remember correctly .
It's very formulaic but the actors are all so lovable, especially the main guy. I feel like he's about to blow up. Remember him being great in Insecure as well. A cozy short movie, easy watch on a lazy night off.
Perfect Christmas time romance. Enough twists, curiosity and details to keep it interesting tied with all the romance we want to see. Great acting as well, not corny.
Was really bored watching this. Can someone pls write Christmas movies with a bit more laugh out loud humor? It was sanitized and safe, didn't love
nice romantic story, but I wouldn't say it was great. Not much excitement. kind of saw where the story was going to end up.
Great easy to watch holiday rom-com
Not really in to roms of any sort but this one is a real joy to watch multiple times. Great flick!
Slight needs more Deutch
If you enjoyed the book, this is going to be quite a disappointment. This is a VERY loose interpretation of the story and everything that made the book enjoyable was stripped away and left us with what is essentially a basic Hallmark Christmas movie. The characters were watered down and made American, and several were completely changed all together and can only be recognized by name. The order in which everything happened was also changed and didn't make sense. Books turned into movies rarely turn out well and this is no exception.
Pale imitation of a Nora Ephron/Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie
Awful plot! The movie glorifies infidelity! It makes me so sad. Besides that it was okay. Wouldn't watch it again.
The perfect rom com 🥰
