Best Magic/sorcery movie.

The 1st and last minute or so are generically bad, the rest is a mixture of very dark symbology from (most likely) very dark/dull forces and what feels like humor and input from forces of a brighter and more artistically-capable disposition. 3.15/5

4/5 the only gripe I have with this film is the fact it is based on British legends and myths yet it ends up in New York and with American actors the actors are good but just didn’t make sense other wise highly entertaining and enjoyable film 4/5

The film has the Disney glitz, with a story based on ancient magic characters. Not a classic, however.

This movie helped me thought one of the worst parts of my life by just being its goofy self. They didn't try to take it to seriously, and I loved that. Overall, great movie, I would love a sequel.

A physics student, played by Jay Baruchel, is recruited by a wizard, played by Nicolas Cage, to stop the ultimate evil of Morgana le Fay from returning. The scene that is a homage to the Mickey Mouse scene from Fantasia was appreciated, but seemed out of place or not properly set up in the framework of this film. Beyond that, I think there is the beginnings of a good film here, but it wasn’t realized because of an unnecessarily complicated plot and a finale that was terribly underwhelming. Jay Baruchel will forever be the voice of Hiccup, from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise to me and his performance in this movie seemed like he was playing Hiccup again in a different setting. The other acting performances were all bland. The CGI was all done during night scenes or dark settings to hide the fact that it sucked. There is a good movie in here somewhere it is just too hard to find it to recommend watching this movie, skip it.

Bad, laughable nonsense

It wasn't so bad hence I enjoyed it so much.

Very entertaining! Fantastical and believable at the same time

Who can make a movie extremely silly and easy to laugh at, yet feel just as serious as any other action movie in the thick of it? Nick cage, that's who. Who doesn't love magic? Especially when you never know what it could be. 2 minutes of cg magic open the world to the mystery of ancient vases and cryptic history your imagination will go wild with, at many times mixing awe inducing magic with funny moments that will make you rewind. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that so many others don't share my opinion, that the next movie got discontinued. If you're the creative type, this movie feels like a home you never knew. If you disagree, I'm gonna need to see your faculty identification card

It's my al least second time watching, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, 2010...

Solid script, super fun imaginative magic, and a great Nic Cage. This movie is a fun time, though maybe not very emotionally gripping.

Wow! Did not realize that other people didn't like this movie as much as I did growing up. Guess that's what growing up outside an Internet bubble will do to you. Great effects, music, and cast. Alfred Molina is a really good villain; very classy. I liked how there's this idea of a running society of sorcerers just living among people.

No es una obra maestra, pero es bastante entretenida. Nicolas Cage y Alfred Molina son lo mejor de la película y tiene muy buena producción y los efectos especiales son espectaculares. El guion es bastante simple y podía haber requerido de más argumento y más tiempo de duración, pero al final y al cabo, es una película que cumple con el objetivo de entretener, es disfrutable y ver a Nicolas haciendo su abracadabra es algo que vale la pena ver. Cierto que esta es otra de esas películas de Disney que no pasa a las ligas mayores, pero hay que admitir que fueron películas que de niños disfrutábamos bastante y es bueno verlas de nuevo por algo de nostalgia. Mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10.
