Space Jam Reviews
Even though it's a bit of an headscratcher at times with it's logic and some of the jokes are hit and miss, this movie will leave you entertained enough for a future rewatch. especially if you're an Basketball and Looney Tunes fan, this is definitely worth a watch.
It's a fun movie that has its entertaining moments. Just sit back and enjoy.
Space Jam is a solid movie. It starts slow by maendering through MJ's life after leaving basketball to play baseball (yuck!) The story doesn't really progress until MJ goes to Looney Tunes Land. Once there, the movie continues to meander with oddly voiced characters until the turning point of the movie: Lola Bunny. Something happens when Lola Bunny appears, the movie gets better. Every scene she is in is great and she should have been in it more. There's something about Lola Bunny that makes me want to watch the movie again, only her scenes though.....okay, I think I just discovered something about myself. I think I find Lola Bunny attractive. Is that okay? I mean people find Lara Croft and Jessica Rabbit attractive but they aren't real. I need to really explore this to see how far this goes. Oh yeah....the movie ends up being quirky and fun.
micheal jordan was good
Really impressive animation and highly entertaining for the Looney Tunes fans and for children's as well and Michael Jordan did really solid performance and there's some really good jokes and it really is a slam dunk.
Nostalgic, funny, but has some flaws
Just a big bunch of commercialized nonsense, not a classic, mildly amusing at best.
Michael Jordan is daddy.
The original "Space Jam" was an incredibly entertaining film featuring basketball legend Michael Jordan alongside Bugs Bunny. It introduced us to Lola Bunny and brought together all the beloved Looney Tunes characters for an epic basketball showdown against alien invaders who had stolen the powers of the NBA’s biggest stars. With cameos from players like Larry Bird and Muggsy Bogues, the film was a delightful blend of sports and animation. Sure, it had its cheesy moments and imperfections, but ultimately, it was just plain fun. The creativity and memorable characters, including Tweety, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, and Granny, made it a nostalgic classic that showcased the charm and personality of the Looney Tunes. While the Looney Tunes may seem like relics of the past, "Space Jam" proved that they still had relevance and appeal. This film is definitely one to watch, and it's a personal favorite of mine. It captures the spirit of joy and imagination that makes it unforgettable.
Fantastic and funny
Not great, but I didn’t mind it.
Just a dumb cheesy basketball movie. And not the good cheesy either

Weird and wacky, but also fun
You know what the problem with Hollywood is? They make s***. Unbelievable, unremarkable s***. Now I'm not some grungy wannabe filmmaker that's searching for existentialism through a haze of bong smoke or something. No, it's easy to pick apart bad acting, short-sighted directing, and a purely moronic stringing together of words that many of the studios term as "prose". No, I'm talking about the lack of realism. Realism; not a pervasive element in today's modern American cinematic vision. Take Dog Day Afternoon, for example. Arguably Pacino's best work, short of Scarface and Godfather Part 1, of course. Masterpiece of directing, easily Lumet's best. The cinematography, the acting, the screenplay, all top-notch. But... they didn't push the envelope. Now what if in Dog Day, Sonny wanted to get away with it, REALLY wanted to get away with it? What if - now here's the tricky part - what if he started killing hostages right away? No mercy, no quarter. "Meet our demands or the pretty blonde in the bellbottoms gets it the back of the head." Bam, splat! What, still no bus? Come on! How many innocent victims splattered across a window would it take to have the city reverse its policy on hostage situations? And this is 1976; there's no CNN, there's no CNBC, there's no internet! Now fast forward to today, present time, same situation. How quickly would the modern media make a frenzy over this? In a matter of hours, it'd be biggest story from Boston to Budapest! Ten hostages die, twenty, thirty; bam bam, right after another, all caught in high-def, computer-enhanced, color corrected. You can practically taste the brain matter. All for what? A bus, a plane? A couple of million dollars that's federally insured? I don't think so. Just a thought. I mean, it's not within the realm of conventional cinema... but what if?
simply the greatest cartoon/live action movie about basketball ever. plus, an absolute classic
Love this film a lot.
