I thought this was really really good. In typical horror fashion, some poor choices were made, but in a shocking turn of events, I think those poor decisions were redeemed as the film went on. Pretty suspenseful and entertaining. Thought the cast did a really good job in these roles as well. Really pleased with how this turned out!

Oh my oh my... One of the worst movies I've seen for a while. Take every single horror trope and put them in to one incredibly predictable and infuriating film. Couldn't wait for it to end, after repeated stupidity and ridiculous decisions from the family. McAvoy played his part well, as did the young boy, but the plot was so so so dumb even that couldn't save this one. Gutted as the trailer made it look good and the reviews were decent.

Great Cast, great locations & cinematography. Meh, predictable plot. Huge disappointment, waste of talent. The characters are complete muppets that continuously make unbelievable, imbecilic decisions over & over to move the unoriginal plot to it's predictable conclusion. I'm going to blame the writers because their name was on it, but who ever signed off on it being released the way it was should be punished. If you watch the trailer you've seen all you need to.

loved it, amazing, great. i wasnt as scared as i wanted to be but i was uncomfortable and anxious the whole time. amazing

The acting was of a high standard, but the plot…gods save me from stupid, predictable plot tricks. Once we got past those shenanigans it got a little more interesting again. James McAvoy was a standout as always, as was the little boy.

Terrifying and the most uncomfortable watch I've seen in a while. With that said it is a total Horror crowd pleaser and a Brutal Revenge Blast!

This movie is made for wokies as it is the only type of person to find this story horrific.

not what i was expecting but i enjoyed it. Great performance from James McAvoy.

It was pretty cool. I like the acting and I like to suspense. I think the climax was missed or maybe prolong too much.

The dad was the most useless person in the movie. The first time the wife says to leave he should leave. Why did he have to drink a coffee if he has a Tesla, the car drives by itself. He didn’t think anything weird about the couple, and then in the end he had just one job, save the family or help, what did he do? He jumped from the roof and broke a leg, which was the most important contribution he made in the end. The woman doesn’t have just one pair of balls, she had four because she was holding her husbands too. I cannot imagine how much money they offered the actor of the husband to do that, they should of given a lot of money, because if it was me I would of read the script and taken out my eyes. Worse movie ever. Congratulations to the wife and the kids. If they have a sequel I hope he dies before movie even starts.

I found this remake better than the original (which is something I rarely say). I understand rejecting your instinct at the risk of coming off rude or impolite; I think most people do that to some extent. I'm so glad the remake gave the victims some bite -- they actually fought back and played relatively smart once they realized they should have trusted the wife's gut all along. That can't be said about the original. James McAvoy and the entire cast were absolutely brilliant. If you want a slow burn with a gut punch and maybe want to hate the victims a bit, watch the original.

The last 60 minutes are a waste of time. Just watch the 2022 original. It's way better.

Another good thriller from Blumhouse. No huge surprises but the acting and slow build up make it well worth watching.

The kid being a victim to a sinister couple was supposed to be a twist??? But it was clearly framed that way in the movie trailers to promote the film. This gives the film a very predictable story. To top it off, the main characters take the most illogical actions and mentality, worse than stereotypical horror characters. Movie is definitely not worth the hype.

Predictable for the most part but a solid thriller with great acting throughout!

Another nail biter, and movie that absolutely pushes the envelope. Definitely recommended.

Incredibly tense and McCavoy is great

It's the dumbest movie I've seen, why are these people so stupid? Going back for a stupid stuffed animal??, going up the roof to leave instead of the front door?? And many more scenes that make no sense.

When it first came out the reviews weren’t great for some reason and the trailer sort of made it seem like a horror but it’s more of a suspense thriller. Nonetheless I gave it a shot and I was very pleased with how good this was! Thoroughly entertaining. Not forced. Keeps you on your toes because you just don’t know where it’s going. Definitely a movie that teaches you a lesson about being a people pleaser and listening to your instinct. I definitely recommend.
