Spin Me Round Reviews
I was pretty much all the way through the movie and still couldn't quite figure out what kind of movie this was supposed rio be. If you like White Lotus, you might like this.
Horrendous movie, and I am a huge fan of Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza. I have no idea what this movie was trying to be. Not funny enough to be considered a comedy, not romantic, not serious enough to be a drama. So what is it? Just a mess. It seemed like it must have been written by a whole group of people, all pulling in different directions.
Overall a memorable film with some surreal moments. Maybe it's a good drinking or smoking movie; I enjoyed the bizarre writing and it reminded me of 1960s psychological thrillers in its seemingly haphazardness. At one point I remember thinking... am I drunk or are they all drunk? I loved the playfulness and seriousness.
No plot that is coherent in this movie. A hard pass.
This movie is not a comedy or a romance. The acting is terrible, especially when you have some good actors in it. It was confusing from the start. Pigs? Little turtle? WOW. Not good. Not good at all. Do better.
Knives Out but the Olive Garden edition
Kind of a low budget film. I kept watching to see if there would ever be a point to the movie, which never came. As if they were writing it as they were filming it.
It has no idea what tone it wants to set.
perfect example of 'never let them know your next move'.
Run , run run far away. Watching paint dry is way more entertaining. This movie is dryer than a Bakersfield summer day.
I picked the Movie as it was Labeled Romance Comedy. ZERO Comedy, unless you consider the loaded Comedian Actors on the cast. This movie was More Creepy Thriller. Story is Tuscan Cove(Olive Garden like) Managers get to go to Italy and learn. Later to learn only female managers normally get to go. Main Character starts to suspect trafficking of the other fellow female managers. This could have been a good movie if it was even more dark.
I thought this movie was fantastic. You didn't know where it was going but it was a fantastic ride. One of the few movies I've seen that didn't need to rely on tropes. The choices the characters made made sense for the characters instead of needing to be made to fit some literary device. Entertaining and realistic characters!
Honestly I think even rating this was charitable in my opinion I have no idea what I just saw (no words on the emotions & plot) Sony I believe you can do better than this This wasn't upto your standards
Spin Me Round had some talent that could've made this way funnier. When Italian frozen food workers get a trip to italy, they get sucked into some funky ceo's world. Misfire.
So many solid performers, so little movie
This was entertaining and silly, an amusing indie movie that made me laugh loudly in parts. Off-kilter, zany, and oftentimes peculiar and confusing, but it's not for everyone. If you like movies that don't have all the typical, rom-com tropes, then maybe this is for you. Do not watch it expecting a "romantic comedy", or you'll be disappointed. It's definitely a movie for those with a quirky sense of humour.
I observed this movie to be an enjoyable viewing. Despite hovering about the edges of romantic comedies, it does not follow the usual tropes I would expect for the genre. Lately, I've been drawn to watch as many independent movies from Allison Brie and Aubrey Plaza as they are in their prime with cranking out the indie pics. I like this movie. It feels simple and direct, not burdened by extravagant "gotcha" moments or a bloated production budget.
It had some cute moments and Alison Brie was memorable in her role, but overall, a stinker.
Junk. Mildly entertaining at first, then it quickly descends into an unfunny nonsensical mess. The final scene was like chewing glass.
Despite having a great cast, this is really one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Disjointed, unfunny, and poorly directed and written.
