Spring Breakers is a bold, dreamlike descent into excess – a film that blurs the line between social critique and hypnotic indulgence. Quite the wild ride of showing what happens when you truly let go inside. You start out doing one thing wrong and things just spiral from there. Spring Breakers is the two oformentioned things on film.

'Spring Breakers'... deary me. An absolutely terrible movie! It plays out like it is attempting to be a parody of these sorta sex-infused crime movies, but as far as I can tell it's an actual attempt at one - which means it's simply cringe all the way through. There isn't much to say about the cast, given their and the film's low quality. James Franco is rubbish, one of the worst parts I've seen portrayed. The characters of Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine just go round in circles, practically. It's a movie that attempts to show an aesthetic and tries to leave a deeper meaning. I can't personally believe that it could actually be interpreted like that, but evidently some people do see it as a success in those areas so, I guess, fair enough. For me, it's just awful. I'll give it praise for a single scene: the one with Britney Spears' "Everytime" playing over it, that was actually fairly well done. See, I'm not a total hater.

A Florida culture film. Harmony Korine created a cult classic for the early 2010s that captures the decade through hazy, atmospheric scenes. The film features a cast including his wife, Rachel Korine, and THREE 'It' girls—Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson—all in the midst of transitioning to R-rated projects. It encapsulates the abrasive yet optimistic tone around the time of its release, full of florescent lights, neon clothes and dubstep music. While it has the hyper-sexualized party scenes that contemporary films like “Project X” were built around, “Spring Breakers” arthouse ambition allows it to stand out from similar-seeming films and allowing it to improve with time. As one of the first films released by A24, it is an important step in the direction that the company would follow: prioritizing artistic decision-making, not shying away from explicit content and having a dope ass lighting/color palette.

I think this film is an absolute vibe love it….. wish they wouldnt have killed alien thought they could have built this into some sort of bizarre gta john wick. should have been a series instead of a movie but i find this one of my go to fun and chillin gangsta movie. I wish they would have actually cast riff raff though 😂😂

This is a movie I can only recommend to college aged young adults who wear "Party Rock Anthem" t-shirts - It's crass and just plain stupid, and yet it is very entertaining. Gucci Mane is in it for some reason. Miraculously, Spring Breakers gets a 7/10.

I actually love this movie, but I could see how it wouldn't be for everyone. Honestly, the first time I saw it, I didn't like it. The timeline confused me and I just wasn't paying too much attention. The second time I watched more closely and paid attention the whole time, and then I saw how insanely artistic the actual filming part was. (Sorry idk technical terms I'm not a professional in this area lol) The scene where the rob the chicken shack and Cottle drives around the place and we see what's playing out in each window.. it's so good. Clever. The entire Every Time montage was also pretty great. I do understand that not everyone can appreciate things that are meant to make you uncomfortable, which is understandable. But I definitely started to like this movie a lot more the second and third time I saw it. And I'm not going to leave a review of a movie based on my opinions of the real life actors. The question here isn't "are all of the actors good people?", it's "is this movie good or not?". Plus it's just one of the actors. I love Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens. And Selena doesn't seem like a bad person. I don't really know much about the director or his wife, but again it's really not about the actors.

I had to sign up to this just to give this one star. Especially after everything came out about Franco this movie is terrible regardless but that just makes it so much worse. Two thumbs down, I wish I had more thumbs just so I could give it more than two thumbs down. .. my wife said I can give it her two thumbs down too so I'm only able to give it 4 thumbs down, But it truly deserves more.

Basically an extended music video, from the non-existent plot to the shoddy direction, terrible camerawork and trashy lighting. Its only saving grace is Vanessa Hudgens, but I'd rather be watching The Princess Switch.

This movie is peak childhood

A very different idea that is very well executed visually with its subjetive lighting, shots and sometimes dialogue. But it fails to deliver depth and empathy towards the character and eventually to the plot. It's fascinating to see but when not accompanied with depth it becomes a bland story. This movie is amazing for TikTok or YouTube shorts.

Every character is unlikable. Showcases the worst parts of human nature and American culture in a way that's reminiscent of your friend flexing something he thinks is cool but in reality makes you feel bad for him

This movie is pure genius. How often do you get to watch James Franco suck hard on a gloc for a solid 5 minutes? Their court scene portrayals are spot on for what we all would like to see go down in the court of law. Must watch. Two thumbs way way up.

This was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. It seems to just be a compilation of James Franco's fantasies and montages of girls moaning. Not really anything else to say other than what is up with the colored artificial lighting at all hours of the day?

The worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I felt almost every braincell kill themselves trying to get through these god awful scenes. Can't believe how many known actors and actresses were in it and it was still so so bad.
