Striptease Reviews
This movie was done perfectly because of the ever amazing, gorgeous and great Demi Moore. Talk about stunning. Is it cheesy? Is it dumb? Yes. But so is Showgirls yet everyone has come around to that. Moore was ahead of her time. Moore definitely carried.
A banal story in a banal movie
she's great...I mean...she really is. 90% of this movie are hot girls dancing. But there's something good in the script. Worth a try.
She is bad actress with a perfect *ss
It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's one of the worst movies ever made. Demi Moore is a divorced mom who loses custody of her daughter when a corrupt judge sides with her deadbeat ex-husband. To get her daughter back, she goes to work at the Eager Beaver gentleman's club. This is the only saving grace of the film, seeing Demi get on stage and show off her beautiful, buffed body. The story line and dialog are both sophomoric. It was a shame good celluloid had to be wasted to make this film. I've given it three stars because it is definitely a movie for guys who like movies. If there's nothing good on 온라인카지노추천, call out for pizza and sandwiches, get some beer. Then, watch Demi take her clothes off. Not a bad deal.
Striptease is definitely an underrated film. If anything this movie is too much like real life. Moore, Reynolds and the others did a fine job. Demi Moore is a great actress. I don't understand why it got such low rating and particularly when you compare it to other really dumb movies.
Charming and could appreciate the perseverance of a mothers love. Terribly underrated.
Sexy yes, but also aimless.
I mean a guilty pressure to a large male demo no doubt. If they had given the lead role to a playboy playmate, some baywatch actress, or even a model like Cindy Crawford, they would have benefited more out of it, even though it still would have been a terrible movie. I mean considering the cast they got for its time, if they gave us the art and passion of strippers , maybe it would have been a solid but really strippers seem were a subplot and it was just a side hustle for the main character. Props to demi for committing to the part. Surprised she didn't take this as a profession after her career pretty much died after this
A mess that leads nowhere.
Most strip club movies fail because even though you can buy yourself a new rack before they film you, you can't be taught to dance like a femme fatale if you aren't one. Demi was honestly hotter in G.I. Jane as far as this poop show goes, but, it's a so-bad-it's-good flick. The most important missing aspect from these stripper films is the 40-something dancer, and her name is Karen...yes, THAT Karen. She's a former crackhead turned soprano with her community choir, and since she can no longer command the attention of college boys, she does a backbend on stage and then crab walks around naked while yodeling at top volume until someone throws a dollar at her naked cooch. If you're thinking of hitting up the sex industry while you're hot and 20, just remember the Karen that waits for you at the end of the line, and you hafta stare at her in that huge mirror behind you as you dance on stage--none of it glamorous. Although, if you do enough crack, I'm sure you can imagine it's all champagne wishes and caviar dreams!
Skip the movie-Read the novel by Carl Hiaasen. It's a far better return on your time and money. Very funny story.
This movie is so stupid and bad but I will say that the chemistry between Burt Reynolds. Demi Moore, Ving Rhames, and Robert Patrick is there but the directing is a bit off and there’s no story
Time to see more of Demi Moore (pun definitely intended) with the movie that started the nail on the coffin of her acting career, Striptease. Based on the book by Carl Hiaasen, the movie follows Erin Grant (Demi Moore) an FBI agent-turned stripper who's in the middle of a custody battle over her daughter (Rumer Willis) with the help of Lieutenant Al Garcia (Armand Assante). However, said battle requires a visit to Congressman David Dilbeck (Burt Reynolds) as she conjures a plan to remove him from office after one patron who volunteered as an insider was murdered. Unlike Showgirls, which was a drama and tries to take itself seriously, Striptease is a comedy with satirical jabs at corrupt Floridian politicians. The main problem with the film, however, is that the tone is all over the map, as it cannot decide whether to be funny or serious. That tonal shift might have been caused by Demi Moore, who knew too well about Erin and made her into a radical feminist who opposes her job. Meanwhile, she's surrounded by wacky comic minor characters like Shad the bouncer (Ving Rhimes) and her ex-husband Darrell (Robert Patrick). Part of me wanted to laugh because these minor characters from the book do deserve fit on the big screen, but when Erin's arc came, the movie fell apart. I swear, half the time, I kept wondering why she chose a cushy strip joint like the Eager Beaver instead of staying in the FBI. Despite Hiaasen's approval of the film adaptation, Striptease is a mess and did not live up to its potential as a hilarious political satire. (1 Shawshank Redemption Poster out of 5)
It's terrible. I cannot finish watching the film. The story is so ridiculous. It is impossible that the child custody will go to the irresponsible father. From FBI secretary to stripping, common. A good mother bringing her child in a stripping bar, common. A congressman with such obsession, although could be, but common.
