Stuart Little 2 Reviews
Stuart Little 2 once again delights us with the further adventures of Stuart as he tries to be just a regular kid in a human world.

No doubt, it can be a perfect escapist fare if you're riddled with self-doubts and is fairly delightful even though you know that the reality outside the 70-odd minutes is not so rosy.

While a pleasant, well-animated family film, Stuart Little 2 is not as gripping as the first movie and lacks the emotional punch associated with the best of the genre.

The film is fairly formulaic, though some of its puns and wisecracks are hilarious, especially those delivered by the Littles' lazy and cynical Persian cat.

A sweet family movie with excellent voice talent.

A fluffy, mindless but ultimately cute sequel to a lame original that failed to register with me.

Stuart is an animation wonder - his tiny face is more expressive than most Hollywood stars'.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Dec 30, 2006
The plot, however, is both shabbier and less emotionally involving than its predecessor.

...unusually enjoyable.

... a well-crafted, visually delightful family movie that successfully avoids most of the common family-movie mistakes.

In an era where sequels to kids film often rank below most Saturday Morning Cartoons, it's refreshing to see a movie that not only matches the quality of the first movie, but it some ways even exceeds it.

In these hardened times, this positive image should remind viewers across the country that this is still a beautiful city, gorgeous day or otherwise.

I'm a sucker for talking animals. And Stuart's a sweet talker if ever there was one.

I don't know what director Minkoff did differently this time around, but whatever it is, he's done it right.

The seamless integration of the CG animal characters with real-life ones and the general storybook look of the film remains impressive, but this being the second go-round it's that less dazzling; ditto for Nathan Lane's amusing wisecracks.

Entertaining children's film that hits all the right notes -- funny, colourful and fast-paced, with terrific animation and an exciting climax.

The mouse, with the voice of Michael J. Fox, is still charming.

A small thing can have large significance: that's a nice theme for a children's film to have.
