Studio 666 Reviews

A fun and immensely likeable romp.

Bloody, it’s a lot of fun, & if you’re in the right mood there is some fun to be had.

It's not that it isn't good, is that it doesn't even try. [Full review in Spanish]

Exuberant, ridiculous, at times insufferable... [Full review in Spanish]

When it all comes down to it, Studio 666 is a fun little romp around the demons in the music industry, both literal and metaphorical. The comedy will be hit or miss, which is entirely dependent on the viewers’ own sense of humor.

Enjoyably stupid...

| Original Score: 3/5 | Aug 10, 2022

It's gruesome beyond words with a few fun cameos, but the story itself lacks creativity.

| Original Score: 3/10 | Jun 27, 2022

It's a clear bit of fun for everyone involved, and it's made with overflowing love for the genre it slips into and parodies. But it's an indulgent and stretched exercise in famous folks following their whims at times like these, too.

The only truly unbelievable plot point is that Dave Grohl, in any condition, wouldn’t graciously take the demo from the food delivery guy, but you can’t have everything.

... A gratifying experience for protagonists and fans alike that never endeavors to be part of cinema history. [Full review in Spanish]

One of the most inventive contemporary films to conceive the most absurd and bizarre deaths. [Full review in Spanish]

| Original Score: 3/5 | May 16, 2022

Laugh-less and oddly structured, this spoof attempt hammers one thing into the ground: The Foo Fighters should stick to music.

| Original Score: F | May 10, 2022

Although fun in places, Studio 666 quickly runs out of steam. An idea perhaps best suited to a shorter length, or even better, another music video for the band, Studio 666 will test even the most devoted fans commitment.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Apr 25, 2022

The hellish hijinx of 666 isnt for everyone, but its exactly the killer camp it was intended to be.

| Apr 7, 2022

Far too long at just under two hours, the movie still has much to enjoy, including a staggering amount of impressive gore and a great performance from iconguitaristagent of wide-grinned stasis Pat Smear.

| Apr 5, 2022

Despite some impressive gore effects, we would have been better served watching the Foo Fighters work through a feature-length guitar solo than sitting through stale comedy and lame horror tropes.

| Original Score: 1.5/4 | Apr 4, 2022

...seriously forgettable and anticlimactic...

| Original Score: 1/4 | Mar 30, 2022

Too loosely strung to be scary or funny, Studio 666 makes rock 'n' roll horror hokum seem like hard work.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Mar 24, 2022

What this rock 'n' roll horrorcomedy lacks in skill -- it's no Get Out or Babadook -- it makes up for with an infectious, rambunctious spirit and an ability to mess around close to the edge.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Mar 19, 2022

Loud, gory, sometimes silly, sometimes scary, and nearly always constant fun, Studio 666 is committed to old-school horror tropes with a hearty side of rock and roll.
