It’s hard to watch I didn’t like it

I recommend watching this movie if you would like to learn more about history of woman or for intertainment. It can be good for you to show teens/young adults.

First, "Suffragette" is a historical drama, inspired by real facts. The movie is for everybody but maybe not for young people because there are a few violence scenes. The story takes place in London in 1912. The subject of "Suffragette" is the fight for the votes of women, but also the freedom and the equality between men and women. For me, the musics and the pictures are perfect because creating an atmosphere of suspense. I liked this film because shows the fight of women during the 19th century . But, I don't liked the end because it is sad, we did not see the victory of the vote in 1918. I recommend it because we learn more about british history.

Suffragette is a movie directed by a woman : Sarah Gavron and created by women for all the world (maybe not for young children because of violent scenes). This is a drama and a historical movie. It tells part of the fight for the women rights. The scene takes place in London in 1912, the main character Maud Watts joins the fight to obtain the right to vote. They are women of all social classes but they all have the same objective : equality between men and women. First, women will fight peacefully but they are not listened to so they revolt with violence at the peril of women who lose everything. Suffragette is a captivating, demonstrative and maybe affective movie. The settings are realistic, the cast is very good and the music comes always a the good moment. I recommend it.

I really like to see this movie ! It was beautiful and very touching on the emotionnal plan (personnaly, I cry some moments). It shows and redraw the history and all the fightings and all these sacrifices for the rights for women to vote in the 1910's in London. The movie remember us that the society was very different only one century ago, and changements were necessary. All the actors and actress play very well their role. There are no so many scenes of violence, this is why I recommanded to see it because it's essential to know the important figure of women and it's important to change minds even in our actual society.

The story takes place in London in 1912, in my opinion, "Suffragette" reflects perfectly the real struggle that women had to endure for their rights. The image quality and the music are perfect, to me, the actors are very talented, and their costumes are splendid. Moreover, Carey Mulligan, the main character's actress named Maud is wonderful, she reflects very well the emotions. I really liked "Suffragette", I was captivated throughout the film. I was just disappointed that the end is a little sad, a character died, and british women obtained the right to vote only in 1918, so at the end of the film, women are not yet allowed to vote. Finally, "Suffragette" is both informative and moving, if you have never seen this film, I recommend it, it is amazing.

This movie is really well made and the actress are wonderfully playing their roles ! This historical film is relating the combat of women to win the right of vote , we are having a precise look on the unfair society in England in 1912 . It's important to see this movie for our knowledge because its related of reals facts but also to remember how we won the vote for women ! I love so much the actress Helena Caerer and Anne-Marie Duff ! And Maud ( the main character playing by Carey Muligan ) make us feel so emotional and inspired , at the end we wanna fight as this feminie activists did !

This movie could be considered as an interesting history lesson because it relates real facts about the suffragette movement from a new point of view, that of Maud Watts. A young woman in a modest family, working in a laundry surrounded by women but controlled by men, the point of view of Maud Watts allows us to see the contrast between the women at work and outside demonstrating without the pressure of men. The acting of Carey Mulligan is impressive. We really can feel the emotions through the screen about all the concession she needs to do. From the point of view of the little suffragettes, notably Emily Davinson, we can see how hard-won their rights were. Moreover, the mysterious Emmeline Pankhrust contributes to an atmosphere of doubt. Furthermore, the high quality of the realization allows us to really feel in the action scenes or in the emotional scenes. However, it would be great to have a little bit more of the point of view of the government because his opinion counts a lot. Finally, I recommend It for all.

I had a wonderful time watching this movie, I'd definitely recommend it! The cast held the movie with great acting performances. Carey Mulligan is perfect for her role: a working class young mother who discovers that she can fight for her rights in society. Just like in Titanic, the characters are both fictional and historical (Emmeline Pankhurst or Emily Davison). The shots' colors might seem dull but it represented quite well the vibe of the early 1910's. The way the scenes are shot completely transports us into the events. The point of view is even more interesting and accurate because the movie was directed, produced and written by women, and the cast is mainly composed of women.

We are following the story of Maud Watts (Carey Mulligan), a 24 years old laundry worker get caught in a Suffragette demonstration where she recognized a co-worker, Violet Miller (Anne-Mary Duff). One thing led to another, Maud Watts joined the fight with Violet, Emily Davison, Edith Ellyn (Helena Bonham Carter) and other strong women figures. I recommand it because it's a very good historical and feminist movie, in addition, I think it's accessible to everybody, with a certain age because of the violent scenes.

The Suffragette is a perfect drama and history film ,where you can see the women's fight on the Europe in the start of the 20th century.The womens of the movie are the perfect example of willpower against the men's society of the period.I liked it thanks to a incredible interpretation by the actors and the director ,who retranscribe perfectly the lifestyle and the suffering of the city of London at that time .And we feel very closed with the main character ,Maud Watts who seems to be an ordinary people like us but suddenly start to fight for her rights. I recommend you to watch it for remember the past and never forget it .

This historical movie talks about the fight by women to get the right to vote, and it is a good movie. First, because this movie relate real events and and it pays tribute to these women. And also because the scenario is very entertaining and it is well balanced between action scenes and calmer ones. Plus, the setting is very nice and the choice of the actors is good, because they are very known, like Ben Wishaw or Carey Mulligan. So, I think this is quite a good movie and I would recommend it.

This movie was good, the plot of the film was interesting and what I learned in this historical movie was great so I recommend it. The movie talks about the rights of women in 1912 and that is interesting because we can know how women were treated before they won their rights. The characters were well developed. We can see how they feel, how they lived .The movie is maybe a little bit too violent for some people and that's why to understand this movie, some maturity is required. This scene of violency show of the women need to do extrem things to be reconcidered, they fight for they right because they realy want the society to change . Maybe the end is a litle bit to flat, basic, empty. For me the movie was great thru the character and the plot inspired of true event, the movie was absorbing it lasts 1h46 but you don't see go by.

It was one of the best movie I've seen, it was a very moving film ; and for everyone. I'm found of historical movies and Suffragette was very realistic, we had the impression of being here. The colors were a little bit dark but it matches with the atmosphere at that time, in 1912 in London, whereas it was released in 2015. The music, the camera angles etc... everything is well chosed and the main characters are brave and fearless, they're women who fight for equalty and votes for women. I recommand it ! The film is inspired by Pankhurst's 1914 memoir named "My young story" and I now want to read it too.

I really like the story of this historical movie, it shows how it was to live in 1912 as a woman but I don't really like the way these women fought for their rights in some scenes. Feminism in that story makes us want to join the movement but some actions from the Suffragettes were too violent for me and I disapprove that way to defend our rights; the reactions from men were really violent too. Instead, the intervention of the figures of Emmeline Pankhurst or Edith New make us immerse ourself into history. It also has an emotional side, especially when we see how women were considered by their own families and friends who didn't approve the Suffragette movement. I recommand this movie because it's important to know that our ancestors fought for their rights and the right to vote is not just a gain.

I recommend this historical and dramatic film because we learn a lot about Great Britain's history. It deals with women's rights but not only. Indeed, we discover Maud's life; a woman endearing and very courageous with a difficult life, stuck / split between her family, a terrible job and a world led by men. However, for me, it would have been better if it had a "happy ending".

Hello reader who wants to know what to think of the movie before getting into it. I'll tell you just what you want to know. Is the movie interesting ? Why watching it ? Is it even worth watching ? First what is the movie about ? The movie is about the history of how women in 1912 and how they fought for their rights in Great Britain, I personally believe they presented the history of what happened in 1912 very well, through good cinematography and strong characters who depict well the values that are required to take onto that kind of fight. Overall, i'd say the movie was good, it gives some knowledge about how the fight for women rights went (in Great Britain), what was needed for it and how difficult it was which can be valuable especially for those who don't like to get into boring learning of history, watching this movie is a good way to learn about that topic in a rather entertaining way. Is this movie fit for you ? Or your childrens ? No, the movie is not fit for young childrens, it talks about some dark things (mature content) and contains a few violent scenes which are often very violent. So why did I gave it only 3.5 stars ? I think there's too much things based around women rights and feminism nowadays, the movie is very well made but I've seen it as a school project and I feel like lately everything we do in school is based around feminism or black lives matter, while it is true these are important matters in the world, it gets very boring to spend 5 hours 5/7 days in school learning about black people and women.

I find it very powerful and touching because it well tell the story of women who fought for their rights, the conditions of their lifes at that time and the inequalities they had to face. Everything, the costume, the music even the tons was put in work to make you feel each emotions one by one... The sadness, the joy, the laugh or the indignition. So if you are an historical lover or a feminist movement lover with a touch of drama, this movie is made for you ! So go and see it, you won't regret it !
