Teen Wolf: The Movie Reviews

Apr 24, 2025

I just finished the show and it was great to see the cast for one last time, but this was not the best movie. We fast forward to a time where all of the pack is now doing their own thing with their lives but something calls them back. Liam Dunbar who is played by Dylan Sprayberry and Hikari Zhang who is played by Amy Workman were in Japan when a mysterious man came in with intentions to steal the jar that was holding the nogitsune. The man who stole this ended up being Adrian Harris who is played by Adam Fristoe and he was their old Chemistry teacher back in high school who was supposedly dead due to the Darach that killed him. We fast forward to Scott who is played by Tyler Posey is now a veterinarian and he was rescuing a dog while still being that true alpha that we all love. Chris Argent who is played by JR Bourne visits Scott telling him that he also sees Allison who is played by Crystal Reed and the pack reunites to revive here using the nemeton tree. A big help in this whole process was Lydia Martin who is played by Holland Roden and she is still a Banshee but out of practice since she was taking on a normal life after Season 6. Other cast members returned like Malia Tate who is played by Shelley Hennig, Jackson Whitemore who is played by Colton Haynes, Derek Hale who is played by Tyler Hoechlin, Melissa McCall who is played by Melissa Ponzio, Mason Hewitt who is played by Khylin Rhambo, Jordan Parrish who is played by Ryan Kelley, Alan Deaton who is played by Seth Gilliam, Noah Stilinksi who is played by Linden Ashby, Coach Finstock who is played by Orny Adams, Victoria Argent who is played by Eaddy Mays, Peter Hale who is played by Ian Bohen and Aaron Hendry is actually back playing the Nogitsune. Derek returns in the show with a new son Eli Hale who is played by Vince Robert Mattis and the whole movie he is basically facing his fears of finally transforming into a werewolf. Malia and Jordan Parrish are now in a complicated relationship which was super weird to see. Allison has no clue what is going on at first when she wakes up and automatically starts hunting werewolves in which she almost killed Derek and Scott in the process. Allison was being taken care of by Melissa who now is apparently a Doctor which was awesome to see. Allison does soon remember though and she goes right back to loving Scott. The Nogitsune even killed a cop who was a kitsune just to steal his tail so that he could have his own personal army of Oni. Jordan Parrish actually used his demon powers to take down the mountain ash barrier which gave the rest of the pack access to the other world where the others were being held in. The Nogitsune basically made Allison kill Scott with three arrows to the heart so that he could die in her arms this time. What he didn't know is that Hikari Zhang gave Scott her Kitsune powers so the arrows melted right when we all thought that he was going to die. The Nogitsune was eventually killed by Scotts pack but in the process, Derek made the ultimate sacrifice to hold the Nogitsune with Parrish which ended up burning him to dust. Before he died, Derek actually turned into a true alpha which was so sad because he was one of my favorite characters. He left his son behind but left him with Scott so that he could be a part of his pack. Adrian Harris got his ass kicked by Jackson and Lydia but Lydia was the real reason why Allison got her memories back because she screamed for the first time in years. Lydia feared her powers because she had a dream where Stiles, who was played by Dylan O'Brien, kept dying in a car crash so she left him. She did this because if they were never in a car together again, he wouldn't die. Dylan O'Brien never returned for this movie because he thought Stiles' story ended at a really good place and he wanted to leave the franchise in the past. He also just wanted to leave the character behind but he was talked about a few times in the movie because he is in the FBI. Adrian actually was taken away to Eichen House at the end of the movie which was great to see. Something funny I noticed in this movie is that they started cussing which is weird because they never cussed in the show like they did in the movie. The funniest thing in this movie was when Scott went out onto the Lacrosse field to play and the other coach asked Coach Finstock "who the hell is that". Coach Finstock proceeded to say that Scott was Greenburg which made me laugh because it was an ongoing joke in the whole show. They also showed nudity with Malia and Allison so basically they just turned it up a notch making it more of an adult movie. What I love to see is that Scott and Allison are finally together again for the rest of their lives peacefully. Overall, it was a weak movie and it seemed like a huge stretch but I love Teen Wolf so I will give it slack.

I loved it. Good story, great to see the cast. Fun performances, and not too serious. The cast looks amazing as usual, and it looks like they had fun making it. The critics didnt like it, but then the critics hate everything thats fun.

Teen Wolf: The Movie is a triumphant return to the world of Beacon Hills, delivering a thrilling, heartfelt adventure that feels like the ultimate fan service for hardcore fans like me who’ve been yearning to see the gang reunite for one more epic journey. This movie is a love letter to the fans, blending nostalgia, action, and emotional moments in a way that perfectly captures the spirit of the original series. The cast effortlessly steps back into their iconic roles, reigniting the chemistry and camaraderie that made the show so beloved. The story not only honors the legacy of the series but also pushes it forward, offering fresh twists and intense stakes that keep you engaged. The action sequences are top-notch, the callbacks are a treat, and the emotional beats hit all the right notes. As for the negative reviews—they’re completely exaggerated. This film isn’t just for casual viewers; it’s a heartfelt reunion crafted for the fans who grew up with Teen Wolf and have waited patiently for this moment. It’s everything we could have hoped for and more, proving that Beacon Hills still has plenty of stories to tell. If you’re a fan of the series, this is a must-watch that will leave you howling with joy.

I have watched the teen wolf seasons over and over matter of fact right now I'm watching it over again. with that being said I think they did a great job with the story in the movie however I feel like they put ALOT in one movie I feel like they should've either put it into two parts or turned it into seasons but with that being said it was still a good movie just a lot going on in it at once even for teen wolf

Good as a piece of media from the Teen Wolf universe, but weak as an overall piece. While it's worth watching if your interested in Teen Wolf, you have no choice but to acknowledge the apparent flaws.

The teen wolf series is always special and memorable for me, and with the recent release of its new movie, it undoubtedly made its fans happy, and as a fan of this fascinating series, I want more sequels to be made from this series. The teen wolf series is a unique cinematic work

Teen Wolf reunion was pretty cool on paper. There is just missing pieces in the movie for example Stiles and Kira and what happened during the past six years. There are somethings I like Allison returning from the dead was cool. The return of the Kitsune, Derek Hale's son Eli. They were actually good idea that could've been better executed. I feel like this movie deserved a better plotline than bringing back a storyline from Season 3. I don't love it I don't hate it. I thought it was okay.

Absolute waste of time. I shudder when I think about the money that was spent making this disaster.

Dedicated fans waited for 5 years for something new and then they give us a confusing story line, messy characters and a lack of passion

Teen Wolf: The Movie is overall just a reunion special for the great show that came before. It really was amazing seeing all of these legacy characters from the series come together besides the absence of a few being Dylan O'Brien, Cody Christian, Danial Sharman, and Arden Cho. The story itself is pretty average as the whole plot is somehow Allison who died in Season 3 of the show and has been the fatality of the whole show until now, comes back to life with no real explanation with the Nogitsune from Season 3 also returning for revenge against Beacon Hills but mostly Scott McCall. This 2 hour and 20 minute movie is just full of fan service without adding anything to the story that is really worth it. Allison and Scott being able to get their happy ending is bittersweet because it cheapens how heartbreaking and fatal her death is in the first place. Her death in the show established the stakes that the show could take, (even though we know the actress wanted to leave the show). I feel like Derek getting killed off was a great conclusion as this show basically started with him and Scott, and now the story ends with his death. I honestly just wish that this movie was more than just a reunion and all fan service because this movie had so much potential to be better. Not even mountain ash can stop this movie from being covered in Wolfsbane, C+.

I think that this movie could have been better, but in my opinion it was a very well done full stop to the end of the series. We got my and people's favorite character Allison Argent, and her arrival in Teen Wolf: The Movie was very interesting and perfect to the letter. But I understand many people were angry that Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) did not appear among the main characters, but they did as good a job as they could manage. The music was good and the other characters had very interesting roles. Everyone can have a different opinion of us, but in my opinion, a nice point on the conclusion of the Teen Wolf series.

Great to see that cast come back and love the relationship between Eli and Derek or with the sheriff, but there are so many hole like: who is Liam's girlfriend? Why don't Scott and Liam interact? Why did Liam move to Japan? Who is Eli's mum and what has happened to her? Why did the old chemistry teacher have a grudge against them? Why didn't they arm themselves with silver arrows soon as the oni first appeared given they have known since Allison's death that silver not only hurts oni but kills them if left imbedded in them? Where is stiles? Where is the rest of the pack given the series left off with Scott recruiting and fighting a war?
