Temple Grandin Reviews
Absolutely amazing movie I'm watching it for the second time,100% rating for a reason 😀
A thoroughly enjoyable and life affirming watch. Well worth seeing with a wonderful performance from Claire Danes. Highly recommended.
Great performances and premise help make Temple Grandin an instant biographical classic. I would love to watch it again.
This movie is a must see!
After watching it, it became my favorite movie. Everyone on the spectrum and their allies needs to see this. I made my therapist watch this lol.
Quite simply a total masterpiece. Brilliant acting; hard hitting when it needs to be. The casting; the writing and the cinematography were all 100%. I can’t recommend this movie highly enough.
It just doesn't get any better than this. Period.
A fantastic story met with equally fantastic acting. A trip into the mind of a misunderstood genius does not disappoint!
At first, I wasn't convinced by Ivan Strasburg's cinematographic style or Mick Jackson's direction, as I didn’t fully understand the purpose of the abrupt scenes that were almost caricaturesque. However, little by little, it starts to make sense, as it greatly explains Grandin’s way of thinking, but more importantly, it explains her behavior towards what she is passionate about and what she is not. Additionally, we have a perfect adaptation of the real-life story of Temple Grandin, with all her obstacles and difficulties, but above all, how she navigated through them. I believe the narrative rhythm and the way each stage was divided was perfect, allowing us as the audience to grow with her and even understand her. Obviously, none of this would have been as effective without the magnificent performance of Claire Danes, and I must also add Julia Ormond and Catherine O’Hara. They perfectly conveyed the emotions of their characters—whether it was sadness, despair, or pride—it was palpable, and I truly connected with it. For all of this and more, I consider it a wonderful work, perfect to watch with family, to share with others, and to be swept away by such a beautiful and inspiring story.
The Type of quality storyline and acting rarely seen any longer. A must see.
Every vegan, vegetarian, meat eater should watch Temple Grandin. Everyone who is autistic, knows someone who is autistic, knows someone they think might be autistic, should watch this. Every living being should be treated with respect. Whether they are a cockroach, spider, tick, dog, cat, goat, horse, cow, or human, we are all here for a fleeting moment before we are gone. You aren't a lightbulb that can be switched back on, once you are extinguished or burnt out, you are gone, make the most of your light while you have it
The movie was brilliantly acted and well directed. I was mesmerized from the very beginning. Clare Danes did a wonderful job portraying a brilliant, autistic person. I am in total awe. The movie was riveting in every way I highly recommend it.
I can't believe I never heard of this movie until now. Found it thanks to clips of it on tiktok. Amazing acting, compelling story telling. I wish more modern movie makers put this kind of love and care into their stories.
Totally inspiring. Films like this lift my heart.
I think I always confused this move with "Greg Gardens". I am SO glad I saw it. I was mezmerized the entire time.
I have never heard of Temple Grandin so I watched this film not knowing anything about her. This is a great film. Very interesting. Claire Danes is fantastic in the title roll. Her acting is terrific. She doesn't overplay the character at all. The viewer is not left feeling embarrassed by the portrayal. There is no overacting, no grand performance. Just a wonderfully poignant film. Thanks.
Hubby and wife date night went back over a decade for 'Temple Grandin', a fantastic movie about a woman with autism who is a genius, as so many with autism are. Communication is a fascinating thing. Understanding autism is something we all have to do because they are different and not less. A must-see. Claire Danes: wow! Final Score: Hubby: 7.8/Wife: 9.6 Average: 8.7/10
Fabulous film that does take liberties with Grandin's life but hews to the important details. Danes is simply amazing, and Ormond gives a great performance. Direction, writing, acting, all gold standard stuff. It is hard to say where Ms Grandin has made more impact, in the esoteric world of animal handling or in conveying the challenges of autism, but suffice it to validate her wish that she would make an impact on the world in a very positive way. This movie admirably demonstrates that accomplishment.
Amazing story of overcoming barriers and how thinking different can provide the solution most can't see.
So heartwarming and inspiring. Considering that I've met the real Temple Grandin in person once.
