The Amazing Spider-Man Reviews
A good Spider-Man Reboot
no where near as good as the original 3 movies but still worth a watch. lizard looks so goofy though like holy molly he is so ugly almost as ugly as green goblin in the sequeul!!!!!!
This a frikin good movie. 9/10
This was a solid movie. Not worth a rewatch though.
This movie has its flaws, but it is still really good. Andrew Garfield might not have been a good Peter Parker, but he was an awesome Spider-Man. I definitely recommend it for Spider-Man and superhero fans!
Different universe but a super cool story with a great actor
When all the scores are tallied, it's practically a draw between the origin stories directed by Raimi (2002) and Webb (2012). In case of a tie, the defending champ -- or in this case the original version of a similar story -- gets the nod. But only by the width of a strand of spider silk.
I enjoyed it to be honest and the costume was ok but I do have a hard time what this movie is trying to be but it’s better than spiderman 3 in my opinion
The Amazing Spider-Man is a serviceable reboot that brings a darker tone and a grounded aesthetic but lacks the emotional and narrative depth to fully justify its existence. Andrew Garfield delivers a decent performance, but his Peter Parker often feels too cool and self-aware – more reactive than compelling. Emma Stone is a welcome presence as Gwen Stacy, bringing charm to an otherwise uneven film. The action scenes are fine, the effects adequate, but nothing here feels fresh. The origin story beats are familiar and, at times, tedious. It’s not a bad film – just an unnecessary one.
It’s one of the greatest superhero movies I’ve ever seen in my whole entire life.
Seriously, Andrew Garfield is a PERFECT Spider-Man. He has been my favourite since I was younger and no one can change my mind. I love that the story is set a bit darker than usual and set a great atmosphere. The sound track is fantastic.
Great actors, great special effects and CGI. Also cool that they brought the Lizard into this one as well. 4/5 Stars
this movie is heavily, HEAVILY slept on
I just do not believe that there are that many lizards in New York City
A very entertaining movie with a few plot shortcomings easy to look over a fun watch would recommend.
Great Film, Great cast, Amazing actors Best introduction to spiderman probably the best spiderman. Quite a sad story and very interesting
This movie has some high highs and some low lows. Andrew Garfield performs excellently and Emma Stone Compliments him well. The lighting is very dark most of the time, making this somewhat hard to see and hard to follow. This is worth watching and a good time overall, but it’s hard to see this compared to some other Spider-Man movies and feels less like a Spider-Man movie and more like a teenage mutant ninja turtles movie or something similar.
If you’ve read Spider-Man comics issue to issue, you either love this specific adaptation of the character or at the very least love Andrew Garfield and his amazingly deep understanding of Spider-Man on a fundamental level. Andrew Garfield brings this comic accurate playful nature to Spider-Man that felt mostly missing from Tobey Maguires performance in the Spider-Man trilogy. The Amazing Spider-Man takes the beloved fantastical nature of Spider-Man and his world and grounds it in a charming manner. The cast is excellent and extremely likable with great chemistry, especially from the two leads. The acting is superb, surpassing the bland performances by some of the cast in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. An incredible score by James Horner that feels both human yet triumphant. A villain who is cookie cutter yet likable and clearly has a level of humanity to him. Visual effects that are better than most modern day superhero movies CGI. I have no choice but to recommend this movie to anyone even remotely interested in the character of Spider-Man.
Almost 13 years later this flim is good I liked the story and the characters and the cgi hold very well and the action with spider man was great overall I give it a 8/10
There are several things that in my opinion make this the best live-action iteration of Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield is a compelling Peter Parker, perfectly capturing the impression of a highly intelligent yet socially awkward high schooler. The chemistry between Garfield and Emma Stone is phenomenal, really enveloping the audience in the tension of those moments. The night scenes are incredibly well-done, and the music score incorporates a lot of unique elements that excellently punctuate the tone. It's also hilarious to me that both Campbell Scott and Irrfan Khan, who went on to play major roles in the Jurassic World movies, made appearances in TASM as businessmen involved with genetic engineering.
