Great storytelling, some aspects vere surprisingly different and drifted away from the action genre formula, in a good way. Definitely worth watching... and (bee)keeping!

It's fun, despite how stupid the premise and how transparent the plot. Statham is not an actor, but he is a movie star, like it or not, in much the same way as Arnold wasn't and was. You just like watching him. And never has a bunch of cartoonier villains had it coming more than these guys, and boy, do they get it! Even if it isn't your cup of tea, you can have fun picking it apart, and there is plenty to pick. The bee lore is especially shaky, and the English scenery looks like it's trying to hide in shame. Three-and-a-half stars apparently means "Worth a Watch", and I couldn't have put it better myself.

Why is this rated 91% lmao. This was so corny, cliche, bad acting, unrealistic, nonsense I’ve seen in a while. It’s almost like watching a long SNL parody.

This was the usual role for Jason Statham, tough guy out for revenge. However, the writing was B movie level for the FBI agents and the things they said were unrealistic. I did not enjoy the acting of Emmy Raver-Lampman. Some of that had to do with how bad the writing was for the lines that Emmy had to deliver and some of that was because her acting was bad. I would not recommend anyone waste their time watching this movie.

The Beekeeper is a great movie to watch if you're a huge action fan. Jason Statham portrays Adam Clay so well and it's a bloody good time when you're watching it

It’s like John Wick with bees. Some of the bee analogies were a bit corny but overall really good movie. Very simple idea but executed very well. Somehow was able to use the right mix of absurdity and violence to send a message about what is right and wrong.

The Beekeeper ha sido una pequeña joya que casi paso desapercibida y que ha llegado a ser una de las mejores películas del actor. No es una película que cuente con un excelente guion debido a lo genérica que es su trama y puede que eso la ponga por debajo de otras películas. Pero se las arregla para ser una sorpresa inesperada gracias a las escenas de acción que cuentan con una excelente calidad. El nivel de acción que tiene esta película es sutil y bastante efectivo. Empieza como un thriller sobre estafas cibernéticas que va culminando a algo más grande cuando Adam Clay entra en acción. Se trata de un solo hombre contra todo un sistema y detrás de este personaje hay un interesante historial parecido al de John Wick. Adam resulta ser un exagente muy bien entrenado que puede enfrentar a toda una guarnición y la manera en que enfrenta a varias personas es sorprendente. La película no da mucha información sobre la organización Beekeeper, pero tiene un concepto muy fascinante. Que Adam Clay haya sido introducido al principio como un apicultor no es una casualidad. La película usa la idea de la colmena y las abejas haciendo paralelismo con la organización del sistema social. Algo que no es muy descabellado, ya que la sociedad funciona de forma organizada al igual que una colmena y los habitantes serían las abejas obreras y soldados. Se entiende que los Beekeepers son los encargados de proteger la colmena de cualquier amenaza, pero Adam da un paso más adelante que es aclarado con la sorpresa sobre quien es Derek Danforth. Aquí la película platea algo interesante sobre lo muy parecido que puede ser la sociedad a una colmena. Cuando algo falla en una colmena, algunas especies de abejas llegan a ejecutar a su reina. La película hace todo un paralelismo al poner a Adam como una abeja que debe proteger a la colmena a cualquier costo al punto de que sale a la luz algo oscuro que yace detrás de la colmena. Más específicamente el sistema político que rige la sociedad y cuando sus leyes comienzan a fallar. La conspiración gubernamental se vuelve parte de la trama haciendo que todo el paralelismo con la colmena cobre sentido. Verona Parker es la única que aún sigue aferrada a su juramento de gente oficial y no duda en tratar de detener a Adam, a pesar de que él es el único que puede detener la organización cibernética responsable de que la madre de Parker se quitara la vida. Adam puede hacer lo que la ley no puede y eso hace que Verona comience a tener cuestionamientos. Toda la idea de la película resulta ser muy ingeniosa por más que la acción parezca opacar un posible desarrollo argumental. Esto es prueba de que se puede hacer una excelente película sin la necesidad de tener un excelente guion. La película fue hecha como el primer episodio de una potencial saga y es un episodio muy prometedor que deja deseos de ver más. The Beekeeper es una de las mejores películas de Jason Statham que saca bastante provecho del potencial de esta estrella. Esto fue prueba de que Statham aún podía seguir teniendo sus propias sagas después de The Transporter. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 10/10.

A very impactful yet fun movie. It marks as a great return to form for 1 of my favorite actors: Jason Statham. I love the story & the action that goes along with it. The villains are also easier to hate. Considering that I do not like villainous hackers & this movie doesn’t either. Totally worth seeing.

Scrapes 3 stars, just. Action was just gratuitous and non-stop, sadly the storyline disappears after 20minutes. Jason has graced much better action entertainment during his career.

Excellent movie. So much fun. I really wish that some capable, proper authorities, with legitimate actions would take care of the issue this movie attempts to throw light on. The action is superb. Jason Statham seems to always do these parts justice. All the acting is good. I'm looking forward to a few sequels, as long as they can make them sufficiently distinct from each other. We don't need a re-tread of The Transporter franchise. I recommend this movie to all action fans, and look forward to seeing some accountability in the real world also.

Not perfect, but action scenes are what Statham does best and this one delivers.
