The Bourne Legacy Reviews
The fourth entry in the Bourne series does a commendable job of expanding upon Matt Damon's escapades. Jeremy Renner does a fine job assuming the lead, and Rachel Weisz delivers a very believable performance. The idea that the spies in this film are physically and mentally enhanced through medical prowess adds an interesting and new element to the spy subgenre.
The Bourne Legacy is a surprisingly excellent and thoroughly entertaining film. Watching it now, more than a decade after its release, I was genuinely impressed—especially given the unfairly harsh reviews it received at the time. The plot is solid, skillfully expanding the Bourne universe even without Matt Damon (which, honestly, works just fine). Jeremy Renner brings a compelling mix of strength, resourcefulness and grit to his character, while Rachel Weisz shines as a feminine yet smart and capable woman who rises to the challenge in her own way. The pacing is tight, the action well-executed—I seriously loved this movie.
This is more than worthy of the bourne name , I was there were three of these. I put off watching it for years because I didn’t think it would live up to the other movies but it does
My Favorite Bourne film.
Jeremy Renner is just a better actor than Matt Damon and it shows in this "Bourne" film. Great story, cinematography, good action and Rachel Weisz. It's the only film in this franchise that I've watched more than once and like Tokyo Drift, it's the best in a series and way underrated.
Well acted, great story, great action and scenes, nice change from the other Bourne movies. I don't get how it got low ratings - at all.
This is an incomprehesible mess. The characters lack credibility and the plot is ridiculously convoluted. The film trades on a quality brand, but in all likelihood will destroy it. A M.
I though this was an excellent movie I am a huge Jason Bourne fan. This is not a Jason Bourne movie duhhh. As a stand alone movie it as good if not Better the the Jason Bourne movies which I liked. Don’t listen to the reviews. See it yourself. I wish that had made more of them with Jeremy Rainer
A pointless film with an incredibly linear plot and zero substance.
Roteiro e enredo bem elaborado e feito. Vale apena assistir? sim Nota: 8,5
I actually like Jeremy Renner‘s character in the franchise very very much. On the other hand, Rachel Weisz‘s character (as well as her acting) are an annoying catastrophe.
Characters aren’t as interesting or 3 dimensional as the main movies. Too much in the action than the spy movie
The best of the series Brilliant beyond words the performance of Rachel Weiss Remner is superb Absolutely marvellous
I thought this was the best of the Bourne series, which were tops overall. Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz had great chemistry and it was a fine supporting cast. Good stunts, generally credible plot, fine photography and direction. I don’t understand why the ratings were so low. I’ve seen the movie at least five times, I like the last line asking “are we lost?” because their good chemistry was so believable.
I am in the few who love this film. Great action and thrilling set pieces.
Jeremy and Rachel were phenomenal in this movie...no arrogant and over the top sentimentality nor unnecessay lengthy dialogue. Jeremy did the bulk of his stunts, and I watch it over and over again to see him walk a roof at an angle and then slide down the side of a building from the roof to save Rachel's character...clever and beautiful. Plus, in the end she saves him after he had gotten shot. The two had a sweet chemistry... nothing lewd or over the top. The other Bourne movies were very good, of course, but Legacy is very very special. It teaches survival and staying calm and focus when all hell breaks loose around you and respect for others.
"The Bourne Legacy" takes us on a thrilling rollercoaster ride that begins with a bang but unfortunately loses some of its steam towards the end. Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz deliver strong performances, injecting fresh energy into the franchise. Renner steps into the shoes of a new agent, Aaron Cross, and his portrayal is both charismatic and action-packed. Weisz shines as the scientist caught up in the chaos, adding depth to her character. The film's first half is a pulse-pounding spectacle, filled with intense action sequences and intriguing plot developments that keep you hooked. However, as the story progresses, it meanders and becomes a bit convoluted, leaving some loose ends untied. While Renner does an admirable job, it's hard not to miss the magnetic presence of Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. In the end, "The Bourne Legacy" is a decent addition to the franchise, offering moments of excitement and suspense, but it falls short of the high standards set by its predecessors. It's worth a watch for fans of the series, but don't expect it to reach the same heights as the earlier Bourne films.
utterly pointless. villains sucked.
Had to give this a 5 Star rating to balance the absurd negative reviews of this movie. It's far more memorable than the 3rd and 4th installments of the films featuring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Ritter give excellent performances and Edward Norton continues the tradition of abhorrent and ruthless government operatives. If you liked the first 2 Jason Bourne movies you will not be disappointed!
