The Christmas Chronicles 2 Reviews
Even within the microcosm of Netflix Original Christmas films, The Christmas Chronicles 2 stands out as a particularly sour outing.

Abandons all that genre-folding for a more traditional tale, with a lot less spark.

Kurt Russell's second outing as Santa Claus wastes its bigger, sequel-sized budget...

It's just right for kids during Christmas, although Dads won't want to watch this...but I liked it, and enjoyed it on its own level very much.

I loved that first movie, I could watch it every Christmas...this one, not as much, very sequel-y...

"After hundreds of years, is Christmas still worth saving? In this essay I will ..."

The film loses all its originality, wit and freshness with respect to the first installment. There is no doubt that it will work within the Netflix catalog, but not because of its genius but because of the dates that they are. [Full review in Spanish]

The Christmas Chronicles 2 is all about embracing the conventions. As a result, it chips away at what made the original work interesting...

Although Belsnickel's very naughty elves and Santa's elves get into elf battles that go on a little too long, this is a family movie that deals with grief, loss, healing and growing in age and grace.

Hot Garbage.

"The Christmas Chronicles 2" - so typical of holiday fare in the streaming era - is more convincing as a reminder that we're sometimes justified in lamenting what we've lost.

Having Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn play Mr. and Mrs. Claus is total dream casting.

Lengthy Christmas adventure has some peril and scares.

Plays Santa with charm and swag.

The Christmas Chronicles 2 is better than your average Christmas movie, even if it offers many familiar touches.

Hawn and Russell are so cute together and so into it, I 100 percent believe that they actually are Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have come down from the North Pole occasionally throughout the last few decades to star in some movies in their spare time.

Sweetly sentimental fantasy that's more engaging than the original, teaching the life-lesson that Christmas is more about who you're with, rather than where you celebrate.

Kurt and Goldie adorably lead Netflix' Christmas Chronicles 2.

The screenplay by Columbus and Matt Lieberman still defies much logic, but at least it is shot with the same kind of visual grandiosity Columbus brought to "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."

The substantial increase in Goldie Hawn at least offsets the diminishing of Kurt Russell.
