The Dirt Reviews
The audiences must be on crack 94 percent rating lol really? This movie is a big pile of garbage, horrible acting and story. Worst musical biography I have ever seen.
If you're a fan of Motley Crue you're going to love The Dirt. Even if you aren't there's a good chance you'll enjoy it. Although I do think it would have been better as a limited series or something. They left a lot out to fit into a movie.
Classic Crue...Well done. If you are looking for an Oscar this is not your flick. Down n Dirty like the CRUE. Fun ride for any real fan.
Great and entertaining movie !!!
Direção: Ok Atuação: Ok Roteiro: OK Caracterização: Bom Soundtrack: Bom
It does have its fair share of inaccuracies and seems to have taken the liberty to approach the real-life material in a manner that makes it all look scripted, carefully calculated and even cliched, nevertheless it's an engaging movie that succeeds in depicting the excess and debauchery as it goes from amusing and exciting to stomach-churning and tragic. Unsurprisingly, however, it glosses over the next twenty years, and that deprives it of a chance at a powerful closure that would linger on.
Never was a big Motley Crue fan, their music never moved me. It’s what one would expect from a rock star movie about any of the 80's hair bands. It’s more about the abuse and debauchery than the music, nothing truly innovative or surprising here.
I thought It was a very entertaining movie that painted a decent picture of what the band was like.
The best movie ever for me.
A biopic doing homage in the very best ways of the band, and letting us know something about them with a good rhytm story
I absolutely loved this movie Describes what Motley Crue was like, and if you don't like that, this movie isn't for you
Silly, OTT and very 80's. Almost Waynes Worldesque. Which I imagine is exactly how they were. I felt the perfect tone for the movie was taken. Critics dont know what they are on about.
I found this a fantastic film great actors who portrayed the Crue great they show the real ups and downs of being a rock star. The only fault is if they showed more background on all the artists would have been good but overall a fantastic film I recommend for all to see even if not big fans.
"The dirt" It is a film that covers the beginnings of Mötley Crüe until 2015 and it's a biography and also a musical and it is about how Mötley Crüe became Mötley Crüe and things that happened between them personally and as a band, my favorite chary is Nikki Sixx because I love him in real life and he is my crush but also because for better or for worse I'm identify whit him and this is why I was so impacted with this movie but even when I was shocked I enjoyed a lot, I cried, I laughed and I would see it a thousand times and of course I recommend this movie even though I know that because of the topics it touches on and who is about, many people don't like it.
I love rock and roll, metal, punk..... etc. But Motley Crue are garbage can people who did not deserve the money or recognition that they got. They have always been the equivalent of fastfood. If fastfood killed your brain cells, gave you h#rpes and was the human manifestation of the spiritual void of modern capitallist society. There's so much better music in the world. As if all of that wasnt enough, this movie is a complete trainwreck! Like it really does suck! Having MGK in this atrocity makes sense tho.... he is just as much of a poop stain as anyone in the band ever was.
The Dirt was a long awaited dip into a very nostalgic pool. The story of Mötley Crüe, the band I had plastered over every wall in my room as a kid. The story was as wild as I expected with a couple stories Id heard about, and a few that I hadn't. Anyways and hour and a half of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. They were known as the wild bunch the wildest craziest rock n roll group as far as reputations go. The movie was well done. The actors were very true to their characters and the movie was great.
fun watch. liked Mick's portrayal in this movie, I love sarcastic guys lol
Great excecuted. Good actings, well written story
Mikey's Movie Review: The Dirt (2019) Netflix latest movie follows the rise (and fall) of Mötley Crüe, from L.A's Sunset Strip in the early '80s to stadiums across the globe. Based on The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, (the joint memoir of Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, with Neil Strauss)... While some of the backstage antics and wilder aspects of the story remain a little suspect, if even half of this was true, it was still one hell of a ride! Jackass Director, Jeff Tremaine, has assembled a game cast that includes a strong turn from Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee, Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx and Daniel Webber as Vince Neil. Although the biggest surprise comes from Iwan Rheon as a moody Mick Mars. The brisk running time barely covers the basics, but all cliché biopic essentials are here. Some 4th wall breaking adds to the big haired, loud mouthed rock 'n' roll fun. But there is nothing of any real depth here (except a brief, slightly jarring moment about the loss of Vince Neil's daughter to cancer.) It's superficial. It's bright, loud, OTT and more than a little crass. It's about Mötley Crüe - What did you expect? Turn off your brain. Turn up the volume. Mikey's Movie Rating: 3/5* 😎🤘
