The Expendables 2 Reviews
We’re here just for the laughs and the bangs and the punches. It’s all a big stupid thing and they know it, so they are having fun, so we should too.
Loved the villian(JCVD) and it was a good movie with all of its action
Best of the series. Great acting great action great villan.
The best of the franchise, it starts strong with epic action with Stallone gifting us some wishes like watching him using a finger like a gun to kill a bunch of people and it continues up to the skies with a bunch of great action figures joining the mission, showing us their best skills, and personal touches like Chuck Norris, or Bruce Willis among others. Van damme makes an Oscar playing that villain, using all his personal touches from other movies toguether to create something unique that can not be replace by any other actor. Staham is behind Stallone showing at any chance why he is the partner of stallone on this spectacular action film. testosterone over 9.000!
The Expendables 2 is another fantastic shooting film and perhaps slightly better than the 1st chapter, here we see more characters and as usual the legendary Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger cannot be missing and here too the 3 of them do a great job work, very good. the CGI here too is spectacular and the villain of the film is much better than the one in the 1st chapter and the way he is killed is truly macabre, I close this review by saying that The Expendables 2 is a really good shooting film and slightly better than the 1st and 70% deserve to reach it, see you next time.
Better in some ways, but also worse with it's dumb one-liners.
The best out of all the Expendables
This is the most better sequel and highly entertaining than the first one and some of the killings are cgi but Jean Claude Van Damme is really having awesome time playing a coolest chill villain and a surprise cast Chuck Norris who only appears for some scenes and some cgi effects but it is better that you don't need to watch 3 and 4th expendables franchise.
With how entertaining, funny, and the cast blowing the scripts, (literally) I can say this was a great action movie watch
It’s more exciting and better acted than the first Expendables. Director Simon West’s action ensemble thriller The Expendables 2 (2012) is very entertaining. I found it much cooler upon a rewatch. West’s direction allows the audience to actually see the shootouts and fist fights this time. Writers Richard Wenk and Sylvester Stallone make the action heroes feel more like a team with real personalities. Casting director Mariana Stansheva actually delivers a cooler cast of old action heroes this time too, especially considering Jean-Claude Van Damme portrays the evil villain. It’s absurd his name is actually Jean Vilain here. Sylvester Stallone is tough and considerate as action hero and mercenary leader Barney Ross. He’s pretty solid here, if underused. Jason Statham is hilarious and awesome with his martial arts and knife skills as Ross’ right hand man Lee Christmas. Jet Li just gets a fun opening scene as Yin Yang. His martial arts skills have never wavered. Dolph Lundgren is hysterical as the mad scientist Gunner Jensen. Chuck Norris gets an amusing cameo as the lethal mercenary Booker. His telling of a Chuck Norris joke is lame though. Yu Nan is gorgeous, cool, and fierce as CIA Agent Maggie Chan with her awesome martial arts. I’m glad she brings some dramatic heart and brings out the best in Stallone. Jean-Claude Van Damme is outstanding as the cruel and chilling bad guy Jean Vilain. He is still fast and impressive doing roundhouse kicks and martial arts in a cool duel with Stallone. Terry Crews is funny as the big gun wielding Hale Caesar. I like that he makes coffee and rigatoni for himself with the supplies. Randy Couture is fun as the demo expert Toll Road. He’s best when he’s bouncing off of others. Liam Hemsworth is terrible as Billy the Kid with his sniper rifle. I’m glad that Van Damme roundhouse kicks a knife into him immediately. Scott Adkins is solid as Van Damme’s henchman Hector. His fight with Statham is excellent. He feels malicious as he tortures miners. Bruce Willis is fine as CIA Agent Church, who hires Stallone for a deadly mission. Willis is going through the motions. Arnold Schwarzenegger is always entertaining as the mercenary Trench. Charisma Carpenter is just a cameo to add some depth to Statham’s Lee Christmas. Editor Todd E. Miller’s quick cuts keep the eye on the action, instead of the incessant and incoherent cuts from the first movie. Cinematographer Shelly Johnson’s close-up shots are solid and the medium shots for the action sequences. Chad Stahelski’s direction for the action clearly paid off. The CGI blood and explosions are ridiculously bad. They hold the movie back a lot. Composer Brian Tyler’s music is much more exciting and suspenseful than the first movie’s score. In short, The Expendables 2 is a vast improvement on everything compared to the first movie.
"The Expendables 2" delivers exactly what it promises: over-the-top action, iconic faces, and a dose of comedic relief. This sequel ups the ante from its predecessor with an even more star-studded cast, featuring a delightful mix of action legends sharing the screen. The plot? As thin as a sheet of paper, but who needs depth when the explosions are this exhilarating? The film’s mindless entertainment factor is off the charts, making it a perfect watch if you’re in the mood for pure adrenaline. The comedic moments are surprisingly effective at breaking up the constant barrage of firepower, bringing a few genuine laughs. Though it’s not groundbreaking and the predictability is high, "The Expendables 2" manages to be more enjoyable than the first, thanks to its star power and relentless fun. It’s a 2.5-star treat for fans of mindless action and camaraderie.

80's action again, now with Arnie ... Easy ... Like it 🏴☠️🤘
One of my favorite Expendables movie
🍅 8.0/10 An amazing opening that feels like the adrenaline you get from playing a video game. bro when f ing Chuck Norris showed up, I just lost it best cameo ever. and the climax is one of the best I've seen in a long time. I ate up the cheesy dialogue between Arnold and Bruce Willis deliciousness. And this totally feels like 80s nostalgia action fun exactly what I wanted from the original and this is definitely better. Grade A-
Lots of cameos, new and old. Story is a bit better than the first movie, and still has some great action scenes.
great sequel but the cast is better and the action is the best movie of all times
This was 💯 better than the 1st one. More action packed and a better plot and villain from the 1st!!!!
Sequel to nostalgic blockbuster is better than the first.
